Great episode. We get to see Chagum at his best here. It's great to see Tohya and Chagum get along so well. I won't say too much now.

I agree. I loved Chagum and Tohya in this episode. ^_^ But, I am ready to see some more "action" with Balsa. =/

It looks like there won't be that much action next episode. I'm starting to understand what these last few episodes and upcoming ones are all about. It's about everyone's experiences and adapting to a new lives. It's real good because we get to see how everyone changes and bonds between folks grow stronger... maybe weaker, but that doesn't seem to be happening.

I mean after Balsa took Chagum, everyone's life absolutely had to change in some way. They had to blend into society a little more in order maintain some anonymity. It's been a dangerous time for them, but the situation has subsided quite a bit. Remember they are suppose to meet with Shaman in a year from the time they went separate ways.

If there's going to be any action, it will probably happen as we draw near the meeting date or afterwards. That's just my guess.

Neat episode. It was nice to see Chagum do what he did in the episode. But yeah, like Chelle said, i'm ready to see some action with Balsa. Though from the preview, the next episode looked intriguing.

Yeah I'm also carving for some action, but I can wait as long as they keep doing interesting episodes like this. Loved Chagum's performance on this one. Though I'm a bit intrigued... Did he read all that by himself or does it have something to do with the water spirit abilities...?
Eitherway, I love the kid's personality.

If only my download finishes... i can finally watch ep 11 ^^

The thing was, that last throw really was random. Both Chagum and the carny knew the math, so each took a 3/8 bet. And they were both sweating the outcome fiercely. They didn't need to explain it with a 2x4... just the expressions and movements of the characters. Once again, great writing, great storytelling, great episode.

I know that we are missing the action scenes here. However, I find this episode very entertaining.

Not to mention, we can get to see how clever he is. Now I know why his real brother wants him to become king.

This episode was quite intense, and what I love most about this series is how it can give off that sense of intensity without resorting to action sequences at all in some episodes, it's all just in the story and presentation! But man Chagum is the man, gambling pro right there =P

I keep thinking that I'm so happy that Chagum is such a cool kid, it would have been so typical if he was a naggy brat.

Anyways, very nice episode, Chagum sure is a clever one ^^

I was worried during Chagum's effort to cease the fraudster, but how nice they made us think of balance here how they show no sign who will win the bidding

btw I like how they prepare the Hekimooms

Whoo, Chagum's clever. 8D Awesomeness. Loved the episode. Was super interesting right up until the very end! Chagum's definitely not your typical prince, and I love how he isn't some classic stereotype of some sort. His whole performance throughout this episode was just great, and it's nice to see him getting along with Touya. Glad to see that Balsa didn't have to interfere to keep them out of trouble!

Next episode looks really intriguing... Can't even begin to guess what exactly will happen. o:

Give it. I gave mine, and I don't regret it.

Each episode had its own highlights, and how delightful to find that in this case the chance went to Chagum and Tohya. Balsa made a correct character assessment I suppose. The last bet was very suspenseful as well. They were relying on blind luck but since the goal is to return everyone's money I guess Chagum had some similarity with Balsa in terms of doing the job until the end. Awesome, just awesome. How many scenes like this can we found in anime nowadays without being overdramatized?

Alongside the superb and detailed animation still, doesn't the egg's development in every intermission interesting to watch? Different phase for different episode.

Chagum is the coolest kid ever o_o what an intelligent and perceptive kid, realizing that they were using signals. The best part is, he didn't waver at all. I like his eyes, they show a lot of strength. Not to mention he's adorable, calling Touya "aniki". Touya teaching him how to bargain was fun too. Balsa was right, she awakened something. Oh yeah, and I'm glad that they weren't too angry at Chagum for revealing that they were rigging the game, and instead played fair at the end. Wonderful episode.

This kind of felt like a filler episode, practically nothing happened in terms of development aside from showing that Chagum is clever (although I believe this was already established earlier with his knowledge of animals after reading text on them only once)

This episode was so Kaiji it was awesome.

Fucking Chagum holy shit. Dude's gonna be the next ultimate survivor with those wits.

Great episode. The stakes. The mind fuckery. The gambling. All it needed was gratuitous man tears and large noses and it would have been perfect.
