second book? how many books are there? also do you mean light novel or an actual book?

10 books are the main series (though some books are split in two or three volumes). Afterwords exist some books that contain short stories. The anime only adapted the first book but used here and there elements from the next books.

The first two books you can find pretty easy on the Internetarchive and all the other books got translated by a fan:

Light novels are also actual books you know. We are talking about regualr novels here, though. The first two novels in the series were also adapted to manga in addition to a live-action series.
