| I for one am looking forward to this series more than any other airing this season. I'm somewhat surprised its taking so long to get subbed, once it does I think there should be a lot more activity on this forum. |

Well actually this thread is quite active for a non subbed episode. I checked the first few minutes of the show and it looks awesome. Seriously WE NEED SUBS!!!!!!!!! |

| Solid start. It delivered as I hoped. It has been quite a while since I watched a series like this. Not particularly touching, but they did send the message quite good in terms of being stripped of power. A definite follow for me. |

| The rating in MAL irks me really. This is by far the best start of all the anime that has been aired in Spring 2010. This could be the Best show of 2010, and yet you'll see all hypes around malicious moe and iffy ecchi anime shows. :/ Also, there you go [Frostii] and [Saizen] are doing it as [FroZen], and I have been in their channels and they said its the best thing they are subbing in a while. |

The rating is low because Xinil only counts user scores after they've seen a quarter of the series. Since it's set to ?? number of episodes the score will remain low for a while. |

| There's a lot of great shows that just came out and that are coming out. I can't say where this or the rest stand but it's definitely great. Loving the OP. Edit: I just noticed that Tadayoshi has the same voice actor for Simon in Durarara. |

| Madhouse is the perfect studio for this considering their ability to make more mature serious designs. Really good episode and it made a good job showing the desperation and the awfulness of the situation. I guess this is the way is gonna continue since it's their life in prison the show is revolving around. This kind of productions are a bittersweet experience. On one hand it's a very mature realistic production with real painful drama on the other hand the desperation and reality of it are quite unpleasant and it certainly isn't fit for relaxing, fun, time. Anyhow if it develops well it could be an epic story. Stories about imprisonment really are full of pain and battle for hope. |

| Madhouse and their smoothly drawn, well-muscled, square-jawed young men. Atmosphere is laid on too thick. Making it more documentary-esque would've swayed me-let fact speak for itself. The circumstances of these guys are tragic enough; seems like there aren't any self-defense laws or considerate provisions for minors/the poor. And that doctor is probably horny rather than genuinely kind. Doesn't exactly help that the whole episode could've been misinterpreted as a part-educational, feature-length smoking ad, but that's probably just me being hyper-sensitive. At least the animation is on par with, if a bit over-similar to, Ippo. Unless they take away some of the dramatics, I'm out. Preview does not give me hope. |
