| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Aww is it just me or did Patty & Liz get a lot nicer now? Anyways, cute episode with the study session there I guess. Anyways, I expect the story to finally move now. Hell, even that creepy woman from the previous episode is there. And damn, that ending escalated. It was awesome to see Maka though fighting this episode against the new threat. I have a real bad feeling about that woman and her abilities. I never doubted Maka's skills. |

| It's finally getting started for real! Looks like it will catch up to the very slow manga translation in the next episode too! I am glad that Maka and Soul get so much time on screen, but I'd prefer some more cameos from other Soul eater characters to be honest. I really want the 3 main character's relationship to move somewhere soon. It hasn't in the manga yet and doesn't look like it will, I've never felt any real chemistry or friendship between them I'm afraid, and I feel like it's needed now. Looking forward to next week! |

| I had a feeling the antagnoist would be the 3rd Gorgon sister, those eyes though. The master's jokes made me lol, well it was probably Liz's reaction that got me ;p Liz and Patty are warming up. Scorpions, interesting. Well shit that escalated at the end, but I think she will live. Cool Stein shows up next. I wonder when Black Star will make an appearence? |
| Didn't expect that ending. It's all been fun and games up till now but this ending was pretty brutal even tho we didn't see much of the actually event happening. And it's not often that someone kills themselves or gets killed in Shounen. I have not seen to original Soul Eater so i can't say how violent it was or how brutal it was. But i have to say this ending was pretty brutal. Guess that was it for Eternal Feather senpai. Question is who will they tease now and who will be there for the comedy. |

| Yeah... It doesn't even look like any effort was put into the animation of that fight scene at all, I know it's a spin off so I'm not expecting it to be of original Soul Eater standards but seriously... They could have done a much better job that that. |

| Wow that ending. I just knew somebody was going to save her. Damn. How did we go from light hearted yuri moments to dark as hell. Nevertheless is was a pretty good episode. The only thing that was bad was that fight. They know they could gave done better with that. |

| Holy crap, did NOT! expect that. Well I kind of did from accidentally reading some of the volume info on Amazon, but not THAT. Poor Tsugumi, that was far too much for her. Her reaction was done really well, got more of the budget than the fight scene. |

| omg I think I could have done a better battle scene with stick figures than that. That was atrocious. I had to do a triple-take on that scene because I couldnt believe that they would actually air something so horribly animated. |

| Man they really fucked up the "getting lost in shibusen" part here. This was A LOT better in the manga. (we got to see the Death Scythes there) Talking about the manga the anime has almost reached the point where the current scanlations are which kinda sucks. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue with the anime each week or wait for more manga chapters to be translated. On a side note, those subs with all the "miss" and "ma'am" shit are really starting to piss me off. It's stupid as hell. |

I had really hopes for atleast this because in the first episode the short fight looked pretty good but here - It looked like they put more time into animating everything else but shouldn't it be the other way around? |

Why should it be? It's not an action series, nor is it ever meant to be. It's a slice of life show, so the budget should go to the slice of life aspects. But a bit more budget for the fight would have been nice... This was the episode I've been wanting to see for forever. Largely because of people's reactions. I tried telling people it had some dark moments, and in a way, what happened here was darker than what happens in the original Soul Eater. I enjoyed the episode! Plus, this is where the manga translation stalled for forever, so I'm in completely new territory from here on out. Also, Clay is absolutely awful at covering himself xD |

Also... this was not darker than what happens in the original Soul Eater (won't spoil anything but you know what happens next episode, right?). One example from the original - When Medusa takes over the body of the little girl. Or what she does to Chrona. Oh, or the Kishin in general. |

| ugh ... that fighting animation was terrible >> didn't expect that... wasn't it enough to take the stoned looking eyes from us? No, not only sparkles everything like crazy, even the fighting scenes suck : ((((((((((( Looking forward for more original Soul Eater characters to appear, like Stein and Black Star. Doubt Eternal Feather will die though, think she will survive by the skin of her teeth. If she would die I would be rly suprised, in a positive way. |
| It's kinda scary if you think about the very first fight scene of the soul eater which had Maka and compare it to this lol,got all excited when she showed up too :/ don't think that level of animation would be acceptable on any standards |

| Heavy twist. Good to see Shula the scorp on the move, she has a nice design when she isn't edgy smiling. Come one guys, it's not the whole fight, it's one scene of the fight that lasted a few seconds that was poorly animated. I can forgive a few seconds of bad fighting animation in a SOL show (hope they don't do it again though). And more than the bad animation it's the bad proportions that shocked me. But they probably had their reasons (delays, subcontractors, etc), so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. Also those bakas from Funimation: "free market" it's FLEA market. |

| Whatwhatwhat. What's with that ending!?? If the whole series would have been lighthearted I would have been okay with it, but throwing in some dark aura makes it even better. |
