| This was a great first episode, it started the series off sucking us right in. The cameos from the original SE cast was brilliant, and I hope to see more of them, even Medusa is still around. Anya is already one of my favorite characters from this, can't wait to see how she'll grow at the academy. Please leave Excalibur out of this one, single most annoying part of SE was having to put up with Excalibur. |

| Seeing all the characters again made me so happy.Even Kid was there for a second! Bones, please make Soul Eater remake, which will follow the manga directly already.I cant wait any longer. I wonder if we are going to see Stein tho. Also, i'll be ok without seeing Excalibur (ﺧ益ﺨ) |

| Pretty good episode. I think I was going to like this all that much, but I did. Happy to see all the characters again. My boy Soul look high. Not to thrill with the new character designs, but that doesn't mean it's bad. That damn soft core fanservice was getting on my nerves. Show me panties lol. Overall good first episode. I think I can see myself watching this. |

| just seeing my boy Black Star again made my day well i remember reading Soul Eater Not! a few years ago when both it and Soul Eater were being updated till they just stopped releasing chapters as far as i know so seeing that girl in red in the Op which was great(i like anything livetune)gives me hope they actually decided to put some plot into the SoL bit of Not!. only question why didn't just they FMABH Soul Eater :( |

| So. Damn. CUTE! XD LOL! First episode, really awesome and cute! xD I love the 3 main girls, they are so cool and adorable! Oh! And the best part: Most of the old cast appearing! We got some Maka scenes with Soul, Black Star and Tsubaki (Who is more busty then I remembered. xD ), and a little of Death the Kid! xD In conclusion, I so can't wait to see this anime progress, it looks so interesting! xD |

| As someone who just rad the mangas for this series , its pretty good. As always a few scenes weren't there in the manga and out of order. But that's to be expected. With that said I quite enjoyed the "It tastes like America." line. I also enjoyed that solo maka and soul demonstration. But, the animation throws me off since it is a tad different than the original. But, may turn into a great anime. |

| I haven't watch the first Soul Eater, but this looks nice. I love the fight scenes. That Moe Ojousama can handle that halberd so well and can kick ass. Seems like a cute light hearted series to me, which I really like. |

| I reaally hope this series directly or indirectly pushes Soul Eater's manga sales enough to make Soul Eater Brotherhood more than just a pipe-dream for us all. | Not familiar with the Soul Eater franchise, but concept is interesting and the characters are like-able. Love Anya's snobby personality, hope she doesn't lose this trait as the series progresses. |

| Dat OP song. The OP itself is okay, but I could've sworn the song was by kz (Livetune), it's really great. Character Designs and such don't exactly match up with the originals, but that was expected. I do like the main girl for some reason though. Actually I like the rich girl too, her theme is nice. The 'fight' scene was pretty good, Choreography-wise and animation wise. Yuri Love Triangle. Did not expect that. Overall, it's not as good as Early Soul Eater, but it's not exactly worse either. It's different, that's for sure. 7/10 so far. |

| Without the Soul Eater references, this first episode would of been average at most for me. So much awesomeness when Black-Star tear that kid up out of the blue!! Can't wait to see my favorite nurse next! |

| It is really weird seeing all the old characters in... a completely different animation style. Really really weird. Soul lacked punch, in my opinion. Also Black Star's head was a little too small, I think. Cute characters, but why is the main weapon girl wearing an outfit with a perpetual neck brace? I'm not really sure I'm into that. Oh show, a threesome of girls this soon? You shouldn't have ;) |
| I knew what to expect since I've read the manga (or all that's available) but I still like how they adapted it! The addition of some of the early scenes helped to build up the characters a bit more which I appreciate! I intially thought that this would be a 12 episode series, but I'm thinking it will probably be 24 eps. There is one character who is introduced who will help me gauge how long this series will be, but they probably won't be introduced until episode 7 or so, and then that would still be less than half of the manga adapted... More Soul Eater is appreciated! I like Tsugumi's design, and Meme's memory loss is both cute and funny. Anya is just okay as of now... |
| Death City was... in America? I thought it was in Japan, wtf. The art style is... mediocre. It's moe dot nose bs, which wouldn't be that bad in some circumstances, but compared the original's art style? Yeah, it fails hard. The main character's also a lil bit dull so far. My only hopes for this are yuri love triangle, since everything else I've both read about and now seen of this show seems lacklustre. Especially the whole low action, high boarding school antics thing I read on the wiki's synopsis. |
| I enjoyed it, it's loads better then I thought it was going to be, and I went in already thinking it was going to be good lol. So it overshot my expectations. The art style may not be the same, and it may not have the same atmosphere, but I really don't think any of that would fit for the story line in this anime. I also didn't expect to see any of the original soul eater characters. I thought maybe they may make a short appearance in an episode in the future, but instead, you get them right from the get go. The entire episode is filled with main character appearances. That alone made this series good. I just hope they continue to make appearances now and then. |

| What impression 1st episode of Soul Eater Not leaves. 1- Tatane Meme reminds me of Inaho Kushiya 2- For the 1st time you dont see Maka's eyes with 1 colour 3- Didnt like Soul's and Black Star's designs that much(compared to Soul Eater) 4- Tsubaki bigger boobs? 5- If this keeps like this noone should ever compare it with Soul Eater.IMHO Soul Eater's ace was the characters.Amazing,eccentric,superb characters. Also it had a solid story based on action. This gives the feeling i will watch a slice of life anime spiced with some Soul Eater elements... |

| Oh I almost forgot about this. Time to watch it as soon as I get home. Now hopefully this gets some more attention and therefore the manga will get scanlated regularly (although chapter 14 came out recently after like 2 years or something). | I really don't like MC(black hair)'s VA... she is not really good at acting right now. I know her singing is superb tho. Anyway, Soul in the new design look really handsome while Black Star looks weird. |

| Had my doubts with this and a still do but there are cute girls and a tsundere which is a good thing. But there is to much going on that a dislike so i guess i have to see a bit more before i pass my decision on this one. |

He doesn't make an appearance until like chapter 8 or so in the manga. Maka showing off how to use a weapon also didn't come in the first chapter, so they already deviated in slight, but it was still interesting, though cute. Yeah, Medusa is still a teacher in DWMA but only because this is a prequel/spin off of Soul Eater. Death the Kid hasn't enrolled in DWMA yet, Sid still looks like a human, Kim isn't partnered with Jackie yet.. Stuff like that. We'll be seeing some interesting background information on some of the supporting characters. I don't know about Excalibur, I kind of want him in it only because it's funny to see mostly everyone get annoyed, but seeing as this is a prequel and he hasn't made an appearance yet in the manga.. I can't say I miss. So, I'm neutral on this matter of Excalibur. |
