| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Holy shit, it's been like forever since I've seen Dragon Ball. This was nostalgic. We get Gohan beating the shit out of Cell in the beginning. Then, there's some robbery at the bank that I remember. Eh, I didn't notice too much change but I suppose the frames are enhanced. Gohan sure grew up :p It was kinda odd hearing Videl's voice again. It's been like ages so I barely remember it. |

| Don't really need subs to watch this. I know what they say mostly from heart. That said, everything went along at a pretty good pace. Gohan to Saiyanman all in one episode is glorious. It's nice to see Buu saga getting the Kai treatment. No more Spirit Bomb jokes, at last. |

| Kai's mostly for the manga readers, as the original Z watchers aren't aware of how much padding there was in the series. Seriously, Kai will end up having half the episode mark of Z, which shows how much filler ate up Dragonball. Plus, anime openings spoil things all the time. |

| True but there are new fans who watched Kai and never watched Z or read the manga who would be completely spoiled. It would of been better if there was one op showing Fat Buu, Gotenks and then another op later on showing mystic Gohan, Super Buu, Vegito. That's how the android and cell saga were so everything wasn't spoiled at once. I know about the great reduction of filler, it is rumored that the Buu saga would be 40 something episodes |

| Pretty cool, might re-watch DB Kai one day subbed... I like the dub, but I hate waiting for new content to be dubbed, it sucks... as I said before, original DBZ dub sucks ass though... terrible dialogue, atrocious voice acting and the Bruce Faulconer music is one of the worst things to happen to the show... it's amazing how much Funimation improved over the years and people don't credit them enough for the great job they did on Kai... Gohan's original voice in the dub makes me want to strangle him... |

| The new soundtrack is okay but I didn't like all that harmonica music. I have noticed that there is no newly animated scenes mixed with the old animation like the rest of Kai which kind of disappointed me although it would make Buu saga look uniform. The newly animated scenes did sometimes clash with the look of the old animation. I liked the opening , ending and the eye catches. |

Some people dislike Faulkner's tracks, but they stuck in my head for years. The OST they replaced it with in Kai sounds like 90s Space Opera music. |
| The Majin Buu arc is the first in all of Dragon Ball that I completely watched, so I'm really excited for this >_< Though I never watched the Saiyaman stuff so I'll have to wait a few episodes for the full nostalgia fun DrGeroCreation said: I was a little surprised by how much they spoiled too. | Including the Other World Tournament arc, this one episode cuts about 5 episodes down from the original. Based on next episode's preview, about 2 to 3 episodes are cut out. Buu arc is pretty short compared to the other arcs(aside from Saiyan arc), but Kai's making it move at the pace it originally was going at. |

| Oh Dragonball, how nostalgic u are :D OP and ED were pretty awesome ^^ Loved this ep way more than I remember XD Seeing Gohan trying to hold back his power but still owning was really fun to see XDXD Jumping 8 meters and doing all that shit hehehe. Great Sayaman's birth always gets me to laugh XD Lifting the car lol And loving Videl's suspicion. It's actually cute seeing it in Japanese XD "Jiiiii" Staring at him in doubt XD Well can't wait to see nxt ep when she finds out his identity :3 |

| Ooo yahh...when DBZ is "normal" for a bit. Gohan...does it look better flying with a cloud than just flying by yourself? Necessary to turn SS to fight those dudes? He is a total nerd, but I mean...his pecks were sticking out. These questionable clothes and high waisted pants. Hurray for seeing Bulma's family. Vegeta was totally thinking "Gohan, you became such a bitch," but he's gotten soft too :P So bad but so good. Morreee. |

| The OP is actually pretty bad compared to Dragon Soul. I really don't like it at all. And yes, for us old time viewers, it's really easy to watch even without subs, I really dislike the OP though, maybe it'll grow on me eventually but not today lol |
| Yay its finally back. :D Good episode and they didnt play around. I was expecting some sorta like half an ep of recaps of the previous arcs but they just reminded us of just the Cell arc. This ep really brought back some good memories. I can't wait for the rest to be seen. :D |

| Didn't see a huge difference in quality. some scenes looked even worse like one when Gohan talks with the baseball coach. Still gonna keep watching though :) |

Yeah, a shame it didn't hold your hand and explain you everything properly (because DBZ must be difficult to figure out). Gohan already said that he didn't want anyone to see him use his powers, which explains Kinto Un. The SSJ part was just Gohan acting on a whim, because he had to mask himself somehow, so at least this way his blonde hair stuck with people. Dude it's DBZ, come on, it's not that complicated lol. |

| It bothers me on how the OP pretty much spoils everything that's going to happen. I know it's mostly old fans watching anyway but if it wants to stand on its own, doing something like that is detrimental. Besides that I'm excited to watch the rest of this, Kai removing filler does a lot for me. |
