Fansubs took forever and basically after the opening I was basically asking myself "how in the HELL does this pertain to earlier episodes of Rei?". Like, if this was an OVA standstill of one episode, I'd probably give it a 7. Rei overall gets 6. Too much dialogue let up to bullshit with unanswered questions. I am highly disappointed. Episode 1 and 5 were good, 2-4 sucked. |

| This was the best episode of Higurashi Rei imo - simply because it was hilarious. Overall this OVA was a disappointment for me. The first episode was just retarded and wasn't funny at all. And I thought the "serious" episodes weren't very interesting and were too heavy on dialogue and slow. Guess I wanted more lolis killing each other. 6/10 - Fine |

| OMG...This episode owned^^ It was really hilarious... Best were the parody of Rena herself...so great xD Just like the first Rei episode, which parodied many things of the series, just great^^ The OVA was really good, I think. It had 2 really good episodes filled with the awsome higurashi humour (I loved the humour in the real series already^^ It's better than many real comedy series) and 3 episodes telling an interesting story in the style of Higurashi Kai with a nice conclusion in the end. Now I wish for 2 things: First, another Higu-series like the first season, filled with psycho, horror aspects Second, a Higu-series with only comedy paroding the first one^^ Otherworld said: ASR subs are out. But the file size is 714 MB O_o I really wonder why the file is so big. The picture quality isn't even that good^^ Btw, I liked this expression of Rika quite much: |

| This was probably the final episode ever for the Higurashi series, however: THIS WAS NOT THE END. The REAL END of Higurashi was at the end of the 2nd season (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai). These were just OVAs they are not to be confused with the real story which was the first 2 seasons. OVAs are usually done as side stories or extras. Overall the Higurashi Series was amazing, it had great drama, lots of blood, lolis killing lolis and everything in between. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: 10/10 Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai: 10/10 Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei: 8/10 For anyone who wants MORE, go watch UMINEKO no naku koro ni. |
| Funny, light hearted ep. Rena's eyes aren't scary anymore ;]. Enjoyable, but perhaps not fitting to be the final episode of Higurashi? oh wells. Series = 8/10. |

| This was the only episode of Rei that I actually enjoyed, to be honest. The first one was exceedingly lame, and the middle ones were downright boring save for a few select scenes. This final episode was just hilarious, though. |

I wonder how many yuri fics are going to be made from this episode xDD (TakanoRena) I liked how Rena always got insane and then switched to cutesy. Stand aside for the epic Rena punch! The episode in all was amazing. Rena switching from one person to another. But they were all talking with telepathy during Mahjong...weird. Then again you never really question that sort of thing in Higurashi << Nice ending xD Funny. |

| The last episode get's a 5/5. While DEEN has made a bad job at adopting the story, they excell in making witty parody-adoptions. But I have to say, I fell for the Keiichi-Rena interactions. WANT. The events of Saikoroshi-hen, meaning ep 2-4, are definitely an official sequel to Kai as well as an ending to Rei.. Just because some OVA (and notice some, I've seen plenty relevant OVAs in my life) are side stories doesn't mean your prejudice suddenly becomes a law. |
| Interesting end. Although they were hardly going to go serious for just 1 Ep for an arc, so it was probably fitting. Not great, but it was worth watching (the series, I mean). |

| Great last episode. Got to see all of Renas lovely sides, even her crazy face =D Ooishi and Tomitake certainly didn't handle the situation in the smoothest way possible, old pervs =P Would have loved to see some yuri action from Miyo though ;) |
| I absolutely hated this episode (except the Mio/Rena yuri parts), maybe because I can't quite stand Rena nor Hanyuu; and I feel like the whole Rena/Keichii thing is ridiculously dull and forced. Give me Mion x Keichii anytime. Overall, I was going to rate Rei 8, but this episode made me drop the score to 7. |
| I agree with confused_kitsune the RenaXKeiichi thing, but I didn't hate the episode. I luved the marimite reference. Wish we could have seen more of MioXRena. I can't believe that was the last episode thou.T_T |

| It was an ok ending. More of it being funny than serious. but the Mahjong game was funny. it sucks that, that might be the end of when they cry, i would want another season but they have to end sometime. -.- oh and i loved hanyuu, she was probably my favorite throught the show. overall i loved it alot. |

| I thought this was gonna blow but it was actually quite hilarious. I even laughed during the Majhjong match cause I didn't understand shit. xD So Higurashi is finished... HAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUU~~~~~~ 6/10 to Rei cause I didn't like the Rika arc. |
