Welcome to my MAL profile ^^
My name is Danièlle, I'm 21 years old (-_-) and I live in The Netherlands, Europe.
I'm the blonde one ;D
As you can see, AniManga and Japanese popculture are one of my favorite hobbies. I like to attend Anime conventions and cosplay is one of the things that keep me busy in my spare time. I'm a big fan of yuri & shoujo-ai and I also like general shoujo shows, even though my two favorite shows are Mai HiME and Higurashi. I also like cute pink things and mascottes like Hello Kitty, U*SA*HA*NA, Kuromi ect.
Currently obsession; Umineko ni Naku Koro ni!
Oh, I like video games! I grew up with the Sega 16-bit so I'm a total Sonic fan. I don't like the 3d games from now very much, but the old skool Megadrive games pwns every other game of Sega XD Nowadays, I still play on my precious Sega, but I also adore my pink DS light. My favorite DS games are Animal Crossing World Wide, Pokémon Pearl, The World Ends with You, Yoshi's Island and Kirby =D
I'm also a Kingdom Hearts fan, but not the typical 'AxelRoxas OMG SMEX' fan. Actually, I think Kingdom Hearts 1 is much better than two.
Other hobbies of mine are shopping (clothes!), mythology, Disney, reading, going to funfairs and amusement parks, music, hanging out with friends and just doing fun stuff. I'm going to college in daily life [education Animal Care] and I have a part-time job in a shoe store. The most imporant thing I have in my life is my sweetheart ^__^
There are many other negative things about me but I shall STFU about that XD
Cosplay
Cosplay is a big hobby of mine. I think dressing up like your favorite character is so much fun! ^^ My mother helps me a lot with the costumes, thanks ma! XD I've cosplayed quite a lot of characters but I've only got good pictures of four costumes. I hate pictures that are taken at conventions x_x So, soon pictures of my other costumes!

Hey Eva, i wanted to see what the creator of the yuri club thought about my favorite yuri, and i have to say i'm surprised...
You gave Kannazuki no miko a 9, but you give strawberry panic a 7? Ok, i understand strawberry panic isn't for everyone(although i personally gave it a 10), but there's one thing i know for sure, and that's that it was better than KnM! That show was a terrible excuse for a yuri, and for an anime in general... If you're gonna give SP such a low score then KnM deserves even less, not more!

Yeah, when I first started out in the shoujo-ai buzz it was mostly men and maybe a couple of lesbians. My last convention panel in Shoujo-ai was filled with girls and a lot of lesbian couples. It was cute watching them cuddle into each other as I showed some shoujo-ai clips. *smiles*
Higurashi is great, but not many seem to know about it. Funny how many told me it made no sense any my wife and me figured it out after the first arc, just not who was repeating things. I did a tribute to Higurashi in my shoujo-ai manga and the list of people who came forward saying they liked the series was great.
I'll have to look for the rest of it later. When I'm free of work.

Wanted to thank you for creating the shoujo-ai & yuri club. Nice to see another club like that run by girls. Plus I see you also liked Higurashi. Interesting I think I'm met 4 shoujo-ai fans that also list Higurashi as one of their favs.

Do you think the club should affiliate with some others like One-Shot? I think that would be a great club to affiliate with. And maybe some others once we finish the whole club activities and such.
