So Griffith did the same thing as Juliet from Romeo and Juliet eh? There are certainly similarities between Berserk and another Shakespeare play: Macbeth.

Guts is gonna leave the Hawks? Wonder what'll happen next...

Can't believe that Griffith actually offed the queen.

And Guts did all the dirty work.

The burning of the queen and her royal scumbags felt soo satisfying.
Still scares me how cunning Griffith is.

I really liked this episode but there was a few things bothering me over the queen's death. Where were the guards? Why did the place seem so empty, why was it so empty looking after the fire...

And at the funeral... Again seemed very empty and downplayed.

Fantastic episode once again, the way Griffith and Guts have been working, it clearly shows Griffith has been going up thx to leaving all the dirty work to Guts, it really makes you wonder about this "relationship". They would never be equals this way.

I guess they were alone so they could talk about their evil plans without people eavesdropping.

Now it is time to see the "evil" part of the story, how did Guts become the Black Swordsman, how did he get that sign on his shoulder and how did he crippled his right eye.

Holy shit this show is so fucking good! They dont make anime like this anymore.

It's so addicting, i only started this show 2 days ago and i'm almost done with it, which says a lot for me! It's basically one long movie!

Guts is such a cool character, i love whenever he has one of his monologues or when he's just exchanging speeches with Griffith! I'm both ecstatic and terrified of seeing what comes next... It doesn't seem like a show with a happy ending :/

Ha, what was I worried about, Griffith took them all out in one fell swoop. Guts leaving like this is inevitable. He has to find his own dream.

However something else is going to happen I fear and it won't be good.

Casca has become a lot more feminine. She's almost a completely different person now. I love the development there.

It'll be a nice change to see Guts break away from Griffith. But I kinda feel like him leaving is still kinda abrupt. I know he's been talking about leaving and was building up to seem pretty gradual, but it just kinda took me by surprise. Maybe it's just because he's been with them for so long that it just feels weird. idk, but good episode.

In my opinion, this is one of the better episodes. Everything from the sneaky plans, to Khaska holding Griffith, to Guts dressed up like a character from Dark Souls, its amazing. And, the joke about her going pee was hilarious! xD

I only have one question...how does the public react to find out that Griffith doesn't die? Wouldn't that put him under suspicion if he came back to life and immediately all those nobleman were killed? Great episode. Loved when Griffith asked guts if he thought he was vile, and guts responds with " you're asking the guy that slaughtered one hundred men." Such badassery

I suppose it is a bad shortcut made in the anime, because it breaks the continuity pretty badly.

The war is over or is it? The Queen has fallen is the King next?

Surprised Minister Foss was able to make it out alive. Glad to see Guts see it out until the end but it seems like the perfect time to leave.

Where will he go and what will he do now though? He was just content with swinging around his sword.

This one reminded me of Light Yagami's scheme in Death Note :p

But but but... I wish that segment was well-directed, well-written to make it look more convincing.

I don't want Guts to leave.. but as expected that scene where Griffis talks about his dream to Hime-sama deeply moved Guts, even though both Griffis and Guts love each other

It's sad to see Guts leave but I guess there he achieved everything he could which is pretty much being right hand of a general

Haha, Griffith outplayed Foss at his own game. What a masterplan. He kidnapped Foss' kid so that he would cooperate. Then he burned all conspirators in one swoop. I wonder if his "Hawk-eye" is a power that he got from the Behelit or is it some kind of 6th sense for him?

I'm just wondering how they explained to the king why Griffith wasn't dead. I mean everyone saw him collapse in the room, but he's there at the queen's funeral. A little bit sus, ain't it? Sure you could say that it was an assassination attempt on both the queen & Griffith. But how do you explain Griffith being fine then?

Guts was wearing a styilish hat. Taking out the trash for Griffith one last time. Casca should try to sneak in a kiss before Guts leaves. He deserves it. ;)

I see nothing wrong with Guts leaving and doing his own thing and Griffith did say for someone to be considered his friend they must have their own dreams but also a while back he said that he owns Guts so he can’t do whatever he wants and that’s why I don’t think Griffith will allow Guts to leave

The terrible Queen is finally gone. She was annoying, Griffith is the big star of the episode and returns to the top with his ambition. Guts is finally making a lifechanging choice, Casca is in the middle of it, it's easy to understand she was falling in love with Guts but now she's losing him too.
Really great, it feels like a relevant point for the story to goes further.
