| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So I watched the first episode already, even though it's in raw format, and I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed, and look forward to the second episode. If you haven't seen it yet, look it up on ANN. The site that promotes this anime is streaming it for free to promote the live-action movie as well. The first episode in a nutshell, is that the singer actually wants to be a pop star, but he's way more popular as a metal singer. He gets mad that he's singing an original song and some cover band of his DMC band is playing a song that HE wrote and getting a huge crowd. Everything else after, well, it's mayhem by accident. |

The raw has been out for a very long time, and I have to admit it's kind of irritating to say I've watched it, but can't actually put it on the list. |

| That won't be too hard. A friend's boyfriend is super into the manga, and while not fluent, she's a metalhead herself so she was able to figure out the whole episode. I'm sure we've got some super hardcore translators out there. |

| They're just a heavy metal band, but in the first episode we of course learn that the lead singer is tired of it, and wants to go acoustic. However, it's just not going to happen since no one wants to hear that. |

| immediately adding the main series to my plan to watch list! its the same kind of humor than the angel densetsu manga, and thats one of the funniest things ive read so far. i think i'm gonna be a fan! |

It even felt like a really fast slide of the boxes in the comic, which was probably the idea. Absolutely fantastic. Can't wait for more episodes in the series. Can't wait to see Krauzer-san's legendary Demon Jewel animated. |

| I'm really curious how far the 24 episodes are going to go. Presumably, it will cover the entire first volume and Negi obtaining the Karth guitar, the second volume featuring his face-off against the indie bands, and maybe the entire Satanic Emperor arc, with the exclusion of the other stuff from Volumes 3 and 4. That doesn't lead to any type of satisfying conclusion, but hopefully, if it does well, they'll have a second season in another year or two. |

| Finally got a chance to watch the intro special. The last scene was hilarious. 7/10 |
| I'm sorry, but I couldn't get into it. I think it was mostly what he was singing about, its distasteful -- not funny at all. I gave it a 1, it was hard as heck to sit through and now I know not to give the series a try. Only some twisted and messed up teens could enjoy this show. |

| Well, it was exactly the same as the beginning of the regular OVA, so nothing new for me. Still very enjoyable, actually fun as hell. Gets a 7/10 for repeating stuff. |
