woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. I was like I wonder why he hasnt responded to my message. *it never sent*

Sorry mang. Birthday was good got a new comp and stuff. Really feel out of the anime scene, but a friend of mine is getting me back into it. Attack on Titan is amazing.

League of Legends is a game everyone seems to play and hate, its weird. Lets see Lakers are out, Boston is out. GGWP this basketball year sucks.

Poison_Ivy | 04-20-13, 7:49 AM
JT, are you alright? I heard about the tragedy that happened in Boston, it instantly reminded me of you. Were you there? I was kind of relieved when I thought that you're not really into exercising, so I guessed you weren't running the marathon. I hope everything's fine with you, family and friends included.

Poison_Ivy | 02-22-13, 2:20 PM
No worries, take your time! I'm glad to know you're busy with stuff you like. 70's Dracula comics, that sounds interesting.

Ha! That scene was much more weird/creepy than downright scary, so I came out okay :P

Poison_Ivy | 02-15-13, 3:31 PM
Hey JT, is everything okay? I honestly don't mind if you take your time to write that 2nd comment about GoT, anime burnout, your obsession with B-movies and so on, but your lack of profile picture and an empty "about JTSlayer" section had me wondering if you were doing well.

If you're feeling the need to laugh a little, my sense of humor "occasionally" works so... :P

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JEFFREY! :D

I wish you the best and I mean it. You're the best pen pal I've ever had!

(I'll be waiting for your next comment on GoT and so on!)

Poison_Ivy | 10-27-12, 2:24 PM
Hey JT! :) How have you been? I sure hope your current profile picture doesn't illustrate your state of mind, since it's God-awful! :P Chucky creeps me out! All humanized toys do, specially when they speak. Toys are supposed to be just that: toys. Do you remember that fluffy toy which looked like it was conceived by an owl after being impregnated by a gremlin? I think its name was Furby. When I was 12, my uncle gave me one for Christmas and I clearly remember trying to hide my horrified expression when I opened up the present. I couldn't even sleep with it standing there in my bedroom, so I threw it away in the middle of the night. Feel free to take this funny story as a hint :P

One's calling, as one's love, isn't always easy to find, but sooner or later it does come along (I know what you're thinking, what a cheesy line, but it's true). And although I don't think we should spend all our time chasing it, I believe we should nevertheless be open to things, or else we'll be missing out on a lot of opportunities. I'm trying to be more open actually, because I realized that I often make final judgements based on first impressions. In your case, maybe you just need to try different occupations until you find something that you can picture yourself doing for a long time, that will make you feel fulfilled. Fortunately it doesn't have to be only one thing, there can be several. I've been keeping my fingers crossed for you this whole time, just so you know (no pressure :P).

You mean "futebol" ^^ Yes, I've seen Benfica win a few Championships and I've even celebrated one in the Benfica stadium. I've also attended one World Cup match (Portugal vs. England) during the Euro 2004 and we won by 6-5! It was such a nerve-wracking game. I'm sorry for your basketball team, at least you have other sports to care about (the only sport we really pay attention to is soccer). Is the American football season turning out any better?

Well, I confess I don't really like to elaborate on this subject, because it upsets me a little to remember, but the thing is: even though I'm still young and starting a career, that doesn't mean I will gladly take crap from co-workers who think they can be mean to me and walk all over me just because of their insecurities and jealousy. The main problem lies with some women, who can't stand to watch another woman be smart or pretty or successful in any way and it gets worse if said woman is younger that them. Fortunately I'm now surrounded by intelligent people who don't feel threatened by my work and instead are willing to teach me how to be better. I hope my words didn't sound conceited, it's really not the case, but they sadly summarize my past professional life.

Thank you so much, JT! In order to get my legal license and become a real lawyer, I now have to wait a year and a half to take the final written exam and if I pass, I'll then take the final oral exam. This year and a half is meant to give us time to collect court interventions and report them before they allow us to take the written exam. It's a bummer, really. I hope to get this over with by 2014. My family's fine and they were happy for me, thank you for asking :) How is your family doing? I remember you have a younger sister who lives with your father, is she going through the Justin Bieber/Miley Cyrus phase or what? :P

You're right, I didn't get the "Clever Girl" reference :( Explain it to me. I've watched "The Dark Knight Rises" and I agree, it was a good ending to the Batman trilogy. I think Michael Caine, Gordon-Levitt and Hathaway had the best moments. I was a little disappointed by Bane's character though, he first comes across as this truly menacing villain and in the end he was just a lovestruck puppet. And is it me or he died from Catwoman's kick? :P

I'm now DYING to watch "007 - Skyfall"! It premiered here yesterday, so I'll definitely watch it this week. I'll expect your comments on it!

P.S.: I still can't see the image under the spoiler button, but I want to see the Sailor Scouts you picked, so please post the link.

Yeah man. This year's gonna rock especially seeing new eras in many teams such as colts, broncos, reskins, and other new drafties. For Pats, Matt Light retiring is a big blow man. Still you guys got BB as the general of the team so you in good shape. For us Vikings, things look bright in terms of Ponders' progress, but AP blowing out his knee is a huge blow. He's currently in PUP list but he gon try to play for wk1. I still think we should play 2-3 games w/o him to see how our passing game goes and activate AP on wk4.
I also feel bad for Chad Johnson aka ochocinco you heard news right? Hope we pick him up, cuz we don got any wep except ap and harvin lol. Having Chad should give ponders another toy to hook up with.

Skullgirls was fun, but I'm looking forward to Tekken tag 2 and dead or alive 5 man. Got yo ps3 yet? Also I been enjoying some left 4 dead 2 on steam as well.

YO And the 2012-2013 NFL season begins finally. hows yo teams look. Personally we b lucky if we make even 8-8 haha.

I agree with you, GoT ended on a high note. The green fire explosion was fantastic and that last scene with Sam looking at the White Walkers made me shiver a little. However, there were three things that annoyed me: 1) Robb's affair with the foreign nurse (there's a war going on and he decides to break his commitment to one of his allies just to marry her? I might have bought that if they worked as a couple but I don't think they do); 2) Daenerys throughout the season ("I AM THE MOTHER OF DRAGONS!" was basically her only line and she didn't do anything smart); 3) Joffrey yet lives (no explanations needed). Tyrion and Arya were the best characters in my opinion and the new shapeshifter guy was very cool. But the thing I'm most looking forward to is to watch Brienne and Jamie's relationship as she escorts him, I think they're a great duo. You underestimated me Mr. Slayer, how could I not know that sublime cover? ^^

About Spartacus, you shouldn't start with the third season ("Vengeance"), because you won't be able to fully understand the plot and it is not as good as the previous "Blood and Sand" and "Gods of the Arena". Most of the fighting scenes are indeed shot in slow motion and yes, the blood looks ridiculous: these are some of the reasons why I called it a guilty pleasure, it's an Australian production, I don't think they have the means to make it look more real. But if you take it as it is, maybe as something "so bad that it's good", you'll find a very compelling story and a cast of characters that will make you love them and hate them at the same time. It has a lot of violence, a lot of sex and that may be why it's such a successful series (in terms of fanbase), but it's definitely more than that, or else it would just be repetitive and tiresome. In case you ever watch it, I've got two warnings: even though "Gods of the Arena" is a prequel, you should watch the series in the order that it came out (1st "Blood", 2nd "Gods" and 3rd "Vengeance"); as I may have already mentioned, the series' protagonist Andy Whitfield died of cancer, so he had to be replaced by a new actor who isn't bad, but does have a different approach to the Spartacus character so... it just doesn't feel the same.

That God of War video you showed me looks really great, it's a shame it's not available in PC format (and I don't own a PS3 nor something of the kind :P). I haven't played it for a long time now. You said you saw footage of the next Assassin's Creed game, did you know they're going to make a film version of it? And Michael Fassbender will play Desmond! *girly sigh*

Have you been watching any anime? I started "Sakamichi no Apollon" a few weeks ago, but I didn't have the time nor the will to finish it yet (it's not as good as I thought). I guess I'm growing out of anime and it kind of saddens me, but the interesting series are getting fewer and fewer every season. Most of them are mind-blowingly stupid. Are you familiar with this feeling?

Again, I'm sorry for taking months to reply (I'm on vacation from the office until Monday, that's why I managed to write you these comments), but with increasing working hours and decreasing anime interest I lost the habit to come to MAL. I truly enjoy our conversations though, so I'll keep coming, just not nearly as often as in 2008. ^^

Hey JT! ^^ How have you been? How did your annual check up go? What about job perspectives, anything interesting? Is a radio career still an option?

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes, the duck was more cute than offensive (I can't see the image you posted under the spoiler button, though). I'm happy to be called a friend, but you can't really "recapture" something you didn't lose, right? :)

Well, Real Madrid's only a rival in European and World cups, it's a team from a different country so it's not a direct opponent like New York must be to Boston. Although Benfica is my one and only team, I support Real Madrid in the Spanish Championship and Manchester United in the Premier League, just to name a few. Besides, Portugal is a very small country so having the best soccer coach and the best soccer player in the world is a big deal for us, that's why we celebrate their victories whomever they work for. Unless, of course, Mourinho or Cristiano Ronaldo were hired by FC Porto or Sporting, which are Benfica's eternal rivals :P

Things did get worse at the pharmaceutical company because I had to stand up for myself more than one time, which created a rather tense environment. I also did feel it wasn't the right place for me, since working at a Legal Department is different from being a lawyer and this is what I've always wanted to be. Fortunately I'm back on track and...

... I PASSED THE BAR EXAMS!!! Can you believe I cried after seeing my scores? Lol. I think the last time I cried of happiness was when my niece was born, two and a half years ago. Anyway, I'm one huge step closer to become a real lawyer and I know your fingers were crossed so I'm glad to give you these news ^^

Furthermore, not long before knowing the Bar results, I've presented my thesis and completed my master's degree! Double yay! :D I can finally focus on my job, with no more academic concerns. I'm planning not to step foot in college for the next century.

Regarding superhero movies though, I'm in bad luck: I missed the chance to watch "The Avengers" in theaters, but I wasted money on "The Amazing(ly Underwhelming) Spider-Man". I couldn't stop yawning. Have you watched it yet? In case you didn't I won't spoil it for you, but the film has quite a few lame scenes. The cast is way better than in the trilogy (though is isn't that hard to top Tobey Maguire, the biggest casting mistake in film history), but I thought the rest was just meh. I'm looking forward to hear what you have to say about it. Thankfully I still have "The Dark Knight Rises" in early August to make up for my bad decisions.

I have to leave now so I'll comment on Game of Thrones, Spartacus and epic Kratos later. See ya!

I've been wanting to get into comics before The Avengers but the movie sealed the deal.I plan on buying some comics but others I'll probably download if possibly. I do enjoy collecting things though, but after a while it gets really expensive.

SSJLuffy | 05-20-12, 8:37 AM
I've never been much of a comic guy, but I really want to get into them. I just don't know where to start, and by that I mean I want to start from the beginning.
