Satisfactory ending, well it is a slice of life after all; some surprizing moments are there though.
Hehehe, so all of them love that lazy sensei...
Does any1 know if there is another season coming out?

Good episode, I enjoyed the whole series very much. Dan is now a captain!? wtf seriously lol. I loved Kirino's reaction when Ishida sensei came back.

They have to! I mean they bothered to show Ura Sakaki at the end so I guess they will, probably not soon though.

That was actually a really good ending. I mean, it was even filled with Kirino win. I really can't complain (I feel like I'm saying that more than I should be this season...odd...) I'm hoping for a second season, although I have no idea if we'll get one.

Well yeah they could continue the story with a 2nd season anyway who was the last person Tama where looked at in the ending. I guess she is the silver one ;) LoL . I'm also like the melody

One of the greatest endings this season. I just love flash forward and seeing them become senpais. An 8 is probably too low and yet most people go with it. I kinda caught up to this series a bit late~ so I was wondering what factor up as the flaw of this series...

Kirino resigned and joined back again with the return of Kojiro? Who the heck is the girl at the end? I wouldn't mind a second season.

Good ending episode with a lot of focus on Tama.

Kojiro returning was expected. Not much else to say.

Overall this was good, 7/10 from me. Season near the end lost some of the charm and humor that made it so fun to watch at the beginning, but it managed to pick itself up decently enough. However, I really don't want to see this go into a second season, even a short one or an OVA. In this season, the characters developed nicely and completely, and this episode tied up loose ends while leaving some things to the imagination to decide -- aren't those hallmarks of a good story? Going any further gets risky.

Really Love the closing episode and loved the entire season for that matter. I avoid giving out 8/10's. I have to really think something is far better than 7/10 level to make the cut. Bamboo Blade passes my 8 test in how much I would anticipate each epi release.

I do want a second season.

This series has been probably the most consistently well done series of the previous season. It was a very enjoyable watch, so much that my original score of 8/10 (as far as quality goes) is bumped up to 9/10 based solely on my own enjoyment. Nice watch.

was anyone else a bit frustrated that Kojiro didn't end up with Yoshikawa in the end? lol I dont know why but I was rooting for them ever since they introduced her. Then they started dropping hints that Kenzaburou liked her and now its a fact that hes the baby's daddy :(. O well at least he got hit by the crazy women haha.

Also I loved the ending, in the back of my mind I had a feeling they would have two new members that where related to the guys that left but I had no idea it would be a girl and a boy that was totally different from them haha. That was a bit unexpected.

The very end with Tama and Sakaki Ura was interesting. I almost wonder if they will come out with a movie or a short OVA just about this tournament. Also for some reason seeing Yuji practicing alone with an outfit that seemed different then the rest of the team was interesting to me. I wonder if he's become much stronger.

I give the show an 8/10

Final episode brings my ranking for the show up from an 8 to a 9.

My favorite part was when Ishida-sensei came back and Kirino jumped on him. <3 It was also really touching to see how Kirino looked while talking to the freshmen after finding out who their older brothers are... she looked completely sincere, probably because their brothers resigned which saved the club. Dan-kun being the club leader, though... eh... I guess I got too used to Kirino. If anything, I think the leader should've been Yuji. Tama isn't much of a person to lead a club even though she is amazing, and the others aren't leaders either and their skill is under Tama's.

But... second season? Please?

That was really amazing. I'm surprised as all hell at how much I love this show. Any way, from a technical standpoint I'd probably give it an 8 or 9, but I've stated time and again that I rate based on how a show makes me feel, and this left me warm and fuzzy inside. Thus, 10 from me.

That second season better be forthcoming. Ending with "HERE COMES A NEW CHALLENGER" is not very nice. A drop-dead gorgeous new challenger.

Decent ending. The anime itself was pretty good. There a things that it could have improved on, but the comedy was well worth the watch.

Ditto! Oh man, I got really disappointed when I found that out. I was really hoping Kojiro would have claimed her for his own. Again, very disappointing in my eyes, but I was able to get over it rather quickly.

I would definitely be interested in a second season. I haven't read the manga (not sure if I will at this point in time), but the last scene with Tama and Sakaki (as people have stated her to be) looked really interesting and it seemed their potential rivalry could go pretty deep.

7/10 final rating. Good show.

gotta agree with you guys on the kojiro and yoshikawa. tho i didn't really like the fact that they made dan-kun the leader. it really didnt make much sense but the ending was done excellent. it made me bump it up from an 8 to a 9 because of personal preference but it was a solid 8.

now i really want a second season.

The best part imo was definitelly Fake-Azuma's cameo on the tray's cover XD Kojiro not ending with Yoshikawa was a surprise, though not really disappointing. Though I am a bit disappointed that Kirino left the club, I hope that if there's a next season it won't mean she won't be around.

Very good ending for a very nice slice of life/sports series, and it even leaves room for a second season. There's not a lot lot of character development throughout the story, which is why I won't rate it 9. A solid 8/10 though, very enjoyable.

really enjoyed series, very much so. somewhat surprised about ishibashi and yoshikawa but not disappointed. would be interesting if they added a romance interest for ishida. i really liked the fact that it was focused on kendo and that not everyone was falling in love with each other. i thought it was a sincere series. not sure why but yes kirino's devotion to the club was an important part of it. i thought the plot approached kendo in a thoughtful and simple manner without being simplistic. i gave it a 9/10.

this show gets a solid 8.5 from me. so i rounded down to an 8. the comedy overall was great, and i'm partial to the slice of life. too bad its over, though i don't think this deserves a 2nd season, an ova set from the tourny would be good enough for me. now the trick is to find something that can replace this. lol i liked this show so much and i didn't start watching till almost midway through.

wanna see more chicks with shinais... too bad this episode concludes it all. hoping for second season in 2 years and i hope it would get better. i hope to see more characters development in next season because they just focused on miya miya's and tama's development in this season. not to mention that my favorite character is azuma, it's kinda disappointed lol. anyway, 8/10 from me.

One of the better made anime in years. I found no period of dragging, it was consistently funny, the characters were intelligent and well-developed, and the animation had a very smooth and detailed style to it.

Excellent show. 10/10

I'm giving this an 8. I'm normally biased against comedy / slice of life shows but Bamboo Blade sort of changed my opinion to some extent. It had an excellent mix of comedy, action, drama and character development. Some of its faults include imbalanced character development (Yuuji and Azuma come into mind) and a few episodes I thought weren't that necessary (but funny still).

The ending cameos are interesting. Now I want to continue the manga (I read the manga until around episode 11 of the anime) just to see Tama's rivalry with Ura Sakaki. And I thought the part where Yuuji is practicing in silence, where a different set of clothing was very interesting. Does he change school perhaps? Or if he doesn't I wonder what the emphasis on him practicing alone is symbolising for...

Senior year can get extremely hectic with exams and other worries. She might not always be able to come regularly to club because of that so having the added duties of being a captain could be tough. She's still helping the club out by competing so it's all good.
