| The concept is pretty cool. The attack of the advanced-humans against the space aliens was fun to watch yet the lights were like confusing and out of nowhere. Too bad, Commande Kugel sacrificed himself. He would have been a nice character. I feel sorry for Ledo. Not only did he sleep for 6 months, he's also lost and somehow ended up on Earth, the land of the not-so-advanced-humans. Amy, on the other hand, is pretty cute with that squirrel-chipmunk thing named Grace. Or maybe it was just the artwork that's amazing. And I find it funny how they can't understand each other. I also liked the hostage scene and the not-so-advanced-humans cornering Ledo, but then he summoned his giant robot friend, Chamber. I'm pretty excited about this anime. |

| Well that was pretty amazing! Some great concept to have someone being sucked in by that wormhole and for a lucky reason land on earth! Seems a lot of changes have been made though but well I'm looking forward what the story has to offer! So lets see what happens next! |

I really like the character designs and the artwork in general. Amy's job as a messenger and her clothes remind me somewhat of the movie City of Ember (the heroine from there). I also liked the different languages thing. I never really liked how everyone speaks the same language in sci-fi movies/series where they travel to different planets (I mean it's acceptable, but I like it this way more, when they have to use some kind of translator). Kudos for the UTW-Vivid subs for using cryptic fonts for both (not sure if both of them are originally from the anime or not, though Ledo's looked like the same as on the mecha). |

| Seems like the wormhole mistake took Ledo back in time to when Earth existed. Or Earth was never destroyed and the Galactic Alliance left for a different reason and kept Earths existence secret from the current generation. Either way, theres gotta be some reason why he was transported to Earth. the opening battle scene was very beautiful. I really hope to see more of that. |

| Holy hell, I should have picked this up sooner. I love sci-fi, although I'm scared to think this anime will take place on Earth and not in space anymore since he seems to have hopped back in time. I wish they explained what was going on at the beginning better. I would have loved to get all nerdy with the science fiction stuff. |
| That did not feel like a first episode... I don't know, the story was everywhere and it was really fast paced. Seems like it has potential as long as it doesn't have rapid pacing like this episode. |

| Pretty good first episode. It might have been just because this reminded me so much of Muv-Luv Alternative, but I found the episode as a whole quite interesting, and do not believe that there were any real pacing issues. |
| As someone said, pure eye candy, and i mean that in a positive way. The colors are really pretty, the clothing is designed nice, the more or less derelict ships as contrast, the intense eyes, and Amy jumping around all over the place.. The space battle was..well, a space battle. Sidonia's weren't all that different at times, and nobody complained about *those*. Of course it was a lot of tech-babble, but the "unrealistic" part of it was that they didn't use any abbreviations. Instead of "telemocy swing" it would be *at best* "swing" or "tele". And "blossom Sails fortified super cannon"? Before you can say that, it already fired. So while the battle itself wasn't that interesting, and the moment they talked about "committing everything" the disaster was foreseeable, it set up "mankinds" way of life nicely, and prepared the way for the culture clash he experiences now. |

| I really enjoyed this first episode. I like the relationship between Ledo and his unit. The introduction to the world then switch to a different world is a nice way to open up this series. |

| First episode, already liking this better than Urobuchi's other mecha show. I expected him to fall into the blackhole thing but it didn't ruin the fun, it's interesting to see how the water people reacted, I liked the part where that Pinion guy (I think, the blonde mechanic) said he couldn't know the writing, translation convention is involved but we do hear the foreign languages of both the Galactic Alliance and the water people. Ledo calling the water people savages because of the implied "holy shit" (sacramental excrement, among other profanity) was funny. Liking the island colony ship things like in Macross Frontier, and on a related note it kind of reminds me of orguss... |

| I just picked this up on a whim, and it seems to be really nice. The language barrier is also a nice touch, especially after finishing Black Lagoon. It will be interesting to see how the people of Earth handle the newcomers, as well as Also, Bellows and Ridget😫😫 |
