Hello, call me Joe
Been watching anime since I was a toddler, I still have a soft spot for hot-head shonen shows now. I am open to try different genres, but there are also genres I try to avoid (isekai power fantasy; shows with fundamentally desperate cosmology, etc.)
Generally speaking I am not a harsh reviewer, and I try to spend more time on shows with good ratings since I don't see the point of diving into shows universally panned (edit: YouTuber AnimeMan said "you got to watch some bad anime to understand what's so great about the good ones", and I think he has a point, besides, once you expect a show to be awful, you might end up entertained in a different way). That said, I do try to maintain a manner of consistency and standard for scores and reviews I give. I cannot promise to be objective, but I try to be as reasonable and fair as possible.

I'm also looking forward to mob I've been rewatching it cause I don't remember like anything when I did watch it and wanted to watch it while it was airing.
Also speaking of vinland saga have you read it? or are you going into s2 blind?
Also nice favorites I love vinland, hxh, jojo, Killua and Hanekawa
You looking forward to anything next season?
I know I am its probably gonna be one of my favorite seasons I've watched airing tbh depending if the adaption of blue lock is good or not since its one of my favorite mangas ever lol there's also csm but I know that's gonna be a good adaption so no worries there.
If you ever checked my Profile or the Anime i watch, you will know a hard and sad turth. I will watch anything and finish it. So Monogatari is no excuse even if it kills some of my braincells. I dont think it will be this bad because.. if i think about the 2/10 Anime i watched, the difference is almost infinity.
You can take any generic 5/10 show with literarly no creativity, and it will shine compared to anything on 3/10 and below. I am just trying to save my own Motivation i guess lol
I wanted to watch Monogatari soon and that is exactly what I was afraid of. I've seen a lot of scenes on youtube that were ... supposed to be good, but in my view were just bullshit.
But since so many hyped him I thought, ne, he must have more. Well, my will now wavers all the more.
Because of Monster
Since I am also from Germany, Monster has also additionally fascinated me how apt it was. Honestly annoy me these constant "Japan superpower or super school anime" in which the concept is chewed over 100x. Monster was legendary for that massive scene change alone. I just wonder if this "German" approach, many interested. The themes around the postwar period and East Germany [DDR] you learn mostly in German schools and this was a very big focus in the anime.
Monster was perfect in almost every criterion for me. I was able to completely overlook some overly implemented moments. But that the author has built up some characters like Nina and Runge too much for nothing, unfortunately little comprehend.
But it was without a doubt the best psychological thriller in the anime field. I love this anime
I've now spent 3 weeks watching Monster, which in my eyes is the best psychological thriller I've ever seen. Even though the anime adaptation had weak pacing from time to time and "Indian Movie" quality in terms of plot twist presentation. That's why I'm still not sure if I'll give it a 10/10 or deduct a point for shaky implementation of the adaptation. The manga would definitely be 10/10 though, as these flaws are definitely not present there.
Have you seen Monster yet? Probably, since you're watching older anime.
