Shit.. dem shojos so popular, I liked them but didnt think they were that great good job tho. Surprised to see some shojos that I thought were never even read. Nice to see nozoki ana in top 50 :D:D
Only 8 volumes of SAO in top 36. That was expected
And yay for Kimi ni Todoke and Magi
It should be interesting to see how the airing of fall anime affect its manga or novel sales in the next 2 or 3 weeks
In terms of DVD/BD sales, no, it looks set to be a very big hit, but more in the 20-40k range, not anywhere near top titles like SEED, Madoka, Monogatari series, or Eva. So probably entirely fantastic sales, but not record-setting. Somewhere near Infinite Stratos sales is a reasonable guess at the moment. K-ON!-level sales would be the highest estimate I'd consider even remotely possible right now.
did a anime boost its original source ever this much?
Dunno, there have probably been other examples on either a percentage or absolute number basis, but it seems like it'd be pretty high on the list.

Kimi ni todoke and Bokura ga ita are the "big hits" that i've seen so far, they're popular because they're "readable" by anyone, have a good and balanced cast, and an interesting story.
Wow did not expect to see K-ON up there. I thought the manga ended like 4 months ago? Still great to see though. <3 K-ON
Also nice to see Kimi ni Todoke doing so well. With these kinds of sales, they're most likely waiting for a bit more chapters so they can get enough material for a 2-cour third season. Fine by me!
Then you claim not to hate (which is ironic considering your name..) why should it matter what other people buy? You don't want to buy it fine, but you shouldn't wish bad on other sales.

You're killing me with all those misused semicolons.
Yay Chihayafuru. Yay Zetsuen no Tempest. Yay Kimi ni Todoke. Yay Kuroko. Yay Baka to Test.

Think you may have missed the development of the past one year or so. Kakifry restarted K-On in April 2011 and drew two series, one in Manga Time Kirara one in Manga Time Kirara Carat. The former is about the the college life of the four girls Yui, Ritsu, Mio and Mugi. The latter is about Azusa, who is now a third year student, and how she ran the K-On Club with members she found. Both series ended in June this year.
K-On College was published on Sep 27, and K-On High School will be published two weeks after K-On College. Expect to see one more K-On in the manga ranking 2 weeks from now.
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?
I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?
I wonder how long people would put up with this.
As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.
Welp, they don't like the Alicization arc. Vols 9 and 10 of SAO aren't there.
This is expected I guess, every volume has been on the top 30 since the anime started.
Next week a new volume, SAO:Progressive, will come out though. Let's see how that sells. Index NT5 will probably outsell it though. Looking forward to both nonetheless.
As expected. Only 8/10 of the Sword Art Online LN volumes end up charting... Vol 1 has charted for 13 weeks in a row, Vol 2-8 for 12 weeks in a row. Episode 13 wasn't that great due to the pacing, and wasn't enough to stabilise the drop in weekly sales.
It will be possible to figure out the sales for this week for vol 9 and 10 if they end up charting next week. Let's see if episode 14 can cause a surge in sales like episode 10 did a while back.
EDIT:

Forgot about SAO: Progressive, thanks for the reminder.

I agree kimi is accessible to really both guys and girls and its lighthearted in drama compared to other shojos. For that reason I dont mind it being first its a solid good romance but not the best imo. However suki desu being up there is a bit wtf for me..

Yeah, it has a balanced cast, and "normal" looking guys too, which is a win-win situation for both audiences, and there isn't the complicated harem stuff and crap like that, the canon couple is obvious (There are some complications though, you know, typical jealousy, love rival stuff ,etc), it's also pretty much the same for Bokura ga ita.
trust me, when you go "wtf" over and over again with these lists, at one point you just don't care lol
I didnt really like bokura ga ita I feel like too many people got hurt in the process of the main characters getting together, Boku no Hatsukoi is a much better sad romance story.
Do you know where I can buy the raws for suki desu btw, I dont know many websites for buying raw manga.
Kurano said: Kagerou Days novels are actually selling quite well. I am happy. Too bad it'll probably not get translated anytime soon.....
True ... they are still selling ... but for how long ?
These days it`s pretty successful but I`m afraid it wont have some much success in several months

Bokura ga Ita was painful to watch, too painful to watch, I liked it but I can't remember how many times I raged because of the characters. It was good nonetheless.
Thermae Romae is doing a good job, I wish there were more chapters available.
JoJo in there too, first episode was the best 1st episode this season till now, no wonder it's selling that much.
Detective Conan is also as usual, selling well.
Billy Bat needs more love, I feel bad for Urasawa, did his previous works sell any better btw?
Magi is also not that bad, should get a boost of sales when the anime starts.
Bleach disappeared from the top 20, but it sold well for this volume in the last 3 weeks.
One Piece probably won't reach the 3 Million mark, it's still selling well nonetheless, well better than everything else.
Then you claim not to hate (which is ironic considering your name..) why should it matter what other people buy? You don't want to buy it fine, but you shouldn't wish bad on other sales.
I'm not wishing bad, calm down. SAO has had every volume in the rankings for the past god knows how many weeks. It was a nice change of pace seeing it out of the rankings. You take me too seriously.
I don't give a fuck what they buy, and even if I wanted to buy it I can't read Japanese. :b
