They weren't childish fools who couldn't handle the situation maturely. The drama was actually way more forced here then in Clannad. It was more natural there in my opinion. It was like they were fighting over nothing here. But I'm not gonna start an argument about this here. You can find more of my opinion on the anime here. I actually didn't have any problem with the concept itself, I think it was pretty good. But the characters and the unnecessary melodrama ruined a lot of it. But that's just my two cents. |

| I'm not too thrilled about a retelling but I'm sure Menma's POV will add some interesting perspective to the story. I also thought the series dragged on a bit at points so seeing everything condensed will be nice too. |

| I might actually like this more than the TV series, since the main weakness of the series is that it's a concept that was too long for a 13-episodes series. That's why they filled it with forced drama. | When I first saw this, I thought it was going to be a movie with an alternate ending, but when I saw that it is going to be just a re-telling told in Menma's point of view I got disapointed. Even a movie that showed how the group of friends life would be if Menma didn't die would of been better ( I would actually like to see this just see how different their personalities would of been). I love AnoHana, but a re-telling isn't all that interesting. Just the same story told in a different persective. |

That's a matter of opinion. But what you people don't get is that I'm not trying to compare the two anime. I went in to see AnoHana to see another beautiful story. I wanted another favorite. And the story itself was pretty good in my opinion, but the characters and the melodrama ruined it for me. I just couldn't get attached to the kids whose actions consisted of either fighting or laughing together. They didn't even try to listen to each other. It felt like they were fighting over nothing. And Menma could have tried to prove her existence (by interacting with the world) earlier, avoiding like ~7 episodes of fighting. But if you want my full opinion about the anime you can see it here. Again, this is only my opinion. If you enjoyed it, or even liked it more than Clannad I'm happy for you. But don't go hating on me for liking Clannad like it's only a trendy thing to enjoy it. |

| I'm glad that it's a retelling because one thing AnoHana does NOT need is a sequel. At the end the time that was frozen at the point of Memna's death for each character begins to move again. Who ends up with who does not matter. BTW .. from the epilogue in the series ass-hole-kun and black-hair girl will NOT be a couple (he'll continue to use her), whereas Jintan and Anaru might (after alot of time). But watching that would just be a typical romance anime, and would certianly not be AnoHana. |

| Awww yeah! I think I'll love it, 'cause the only deficiency in Anohana was that Menma's character was too empty and there wasn't her thoughts shown enough. It'll unify the story :) |
