| The upcoming 25th issue of Weekly Shounen Jump will announce that Nisekoi will be receiving an OVA. It will adapt chapters 58 and 64 of the manga. The OVA episode will be bundled with volume 14, which will be released on October 3, 2014. The main cast will return along with chief director Akiyuki Shinbo, director Naoyuki Tatsuwa, and character designer Nobuhiro Sugiyama. Shaft will also be animating the OVA. | Season 2 will come, one day, the sales were great and the only thing the stands in the way to that is if Shaft wants it, most likely it will get in about a year or so. For now we can enjoy the OVA, or not enjoy depends who's watching. |
| There might be a season 2 coming someday. We'll see if there's an announcement after the finale if Shaft decides to take on the task again. As for this OVA, I am somewhat looking forward to it but not entirely excited. |

| Tbh, there's no actual story progression in the manga after the R&J play. So making another season will just ruin everything with pointless episodes over and over. OVAs will be a much better choice. |
