| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Damn that was fucking amazing, Killua you are the man...and Pouf really was priceless this episode. I'm hoping to see Gon take on Pitou soon though with that ending and preview. It should be a very memorable match. On another note, the King's new abilities scares me like that Big Bang attack. |

Killua being badass again - lol at scene when he was running with Komugi and she tought he's that bad guy.On the other hand we have Pouf, and i have only one thing to say about Pouf...burn in hell, Pouf.''She's not neccesary''? that would be you, not her you ass. Youpi is a really good character, i like how honest he was and told King all the truth. Gon and Pitou!! holy shit im so excited. |

| Good episode. Youpi's moment of truth was quite tense. Good thing Meruem forgave him just for telling the truth :D Youpi is awesome ^^ Meruem's speech about evolution was nice. U gotta love this guy and he's starting to remember Komugi. Pouf is just so screwed XD He's all over the place and having Killua wasting his time was the last thing he needed XD Then when he remembered the Board XD OH SHIT hahaha. Killua was friggin BA this ep :D Truly Godly speed hehe. Even a Royal Guard can't catch up ^^ And his Barrier was awesome. He got really mindfucked this ep though with how Pouf kept doing things he didn't expect esp his reaction to Pouf wanting to kill Komugi XD and then just retreating quickly XD Komugi's struggle was cute :3 I really feel bad for this girl XD She has no idea wth is going on XD DAT end!! Gon vs Pitou! HYPE HYPE HYPE >.< I think it won't be til ep 131 though :(...I can't wait to see ep131 break the record of highest ep commented on in the history of MAL XD |

| Keep in mind Killua was only dealing with 1/6th of Pouf meaning he's 6 times weaker. He wouldn't have been able to damage him at all if Pouf was 100%. |

They can't even use his scales, it would have been a done deal if he hypnotized Komugi and Killua. Killua was fighting a weaked Pouf but he was awesome in this episode. |

| Yes but I'm not talking about speed. Killua took off bit of his face with one attack. Pouf is the same guy who can take a full attack with killing intent from the King and not die from it, gay as he might be that's a feat that surpasses Netero as he lost limbs with each strike the King made. |

| Killua looked awesome in his lightning form. Pouf is really desperate to not let Meruem remember. Glad that Youpi was spared by saying the truth. Komugi is really important ro Meruem. Nice to see Pitou and Gon at the end. |

I finished the manga when I couldn't bare to wait what would happen in the CA arc. And I loved it. I think the main problem most people have is pacing. I don't mind, though. I like that they're being faithful to the manga even though it ends up being drawn out. It's still quality stuff. And Mad House is doing such a great job at animating these scans that I sometimes I wish I hadn't read far into the manga. I was reading a huge part of the manga while at work (where I'm not supposed to have my phone out... lol) so that's probably why I missed it. But yeah, he's clearly hitting him there. |
| Killua has improved his abilities so much, I think Gon won't catch up to him very soon. And I love the relationship between the king and komugi. I think one of the reasons he has a distinct memory of her is because she was the only one who could really defeat him. Maybe it's admiration. |

| Godspeed: coolest nen ability ever. Even Godspeed aside, this episode was pretty awesome. Almost every line of dialogue, be it from the King, Pouf or Killua was interesting in itself. I liked Youpi's honesty and the King's policy of not punishing Youpi since he asked for the truth. The 'This was also the King' line was also pretty intriguing, this interjection from the narrator was really well placed, as I had just started to ask myself if Mreuem's point of view toward evolution was consistent with what he told Netero. This really emphasize's the King's inner struggle and how the King's "stuck between humanity and his ant instincts" such as Netero put it. Also the fact that the invasion squad was never shown discussing Killua's idea to identify Pouf's true objective, and rather we saw Pouf deduce it was cool. It showed the squad's professionalism and Pouf's astuteness in an elegant way. Can't wait for next week. |
| Killua has so many wonderful moments, both in dialogue and action. I really enjoyed this episode, 4/5. Haha I still just can't help but think if Knov wasn't the way he is, couldn't he just use that nen of ability of his to cut off their heads like he did against that one ant during his infiltration? If Knov was different they could've just sent him in with Meleoron to assassinate the king using that nen ability. Power/Strength wouldn't even matter then if he could just transport their heads to his "room", just a thought though. and while the King is that strong, Killua is most likely faster. What if he incorporates his god speed ability with his assassin fingernails? Lightning speed thrust that's incredibly sharp, I'm sure that would be interesting to see. I'm also curious about the "Assassination Techniques", what is Rhythm Echo exactly? is there a whole different category for it? would love to see more of that, though I just love seeing Killua in general. |

It doesn't exactly say, "Kite inspired me to become a hunter!". Besides, it shows that exact same flashback in the beginning of the animated Chimera Ant arc so they didn't leave anything out. It still helps explain why Kite meant so much to Gon. And from what I've read from this thread, the 2011 ver. has remained much more faithful to the manga than the 1999 version did. Not that the 1999 version was bad, I plan on checking it out myself. I don't get what is being represented "dully" when Mad House has pretty much copied each and every scan in the manga. Just look at what they did with ep. 126, that was amazing. |

| Killua isn't faster thant the king. King can fight against Netero and Netero was capable of unleashing punches reported to be as fast as the speed of sound. Pouf need to be on the tail of the king to follow him. And Pouf can follow god speed Killua. |

Yes, the flashback is still there. However, I felt like Gon's admiration for Kite was diminished not by not mentioning until they met Kite but stating that Gon had forgotten about it and didn't recognize Kite until he introduced himself. In the manga, Kite is a constant figure of admiration for Gon, he even tells Killua how he met him in Whale Island and how he hoped to meet him again. But whatever,I can live with that being my only complaint so far from the 2011 anime. |

The fact that the ant he killed being irrelevant isn't irrelevant at all. The ability he used to neutralize the ant is what makes me believe he could've just done the same with every other ant. which is : wrapping that nen ability over one of their heads and sending it to his "room" there is no strength involved, and given the fact that they didn't know Meleoron to be a traitor would've just made it that much better. None of the ants would've seen it coming, it would've been a true sacrifice... but again, that's just a "what if" thought. I don't see how Meleoron's limitation would affect their assassination attempt. Prior to the mission it was Knov who scouted the palace so he had the most intel and probably knew where the king would be. It would've been simple, maybe Togashi wrote it differently because of his ability. Just another thought ^^ |
