Oh wait. Wow. i totally forgot that Nodame Cantabile is based after a manga LOL. I think in the case of nodame the anime came out after the drama, so they used the SAME pacing as the drama did. But the drama is still just soooo much better.

but overall i tend to really enjoy manga->drama adaptations, just depends on the casting :P

Hana Yori Dango to me so far is the best drama from a anime/manga I've seen. Very few stay closely to the manga. I think thats the reason it has so many different versions lol

i like watching the ]manga adaptations of dramas when it's a manga i havent read, and if they're done well overall... like yasuko to kenji, shibatora, bambino...

but i mean, hanayori dango was an amazing adaptation :3, and so was h2 <3 <3 (and 20th century boys~!)

I think there are some great ones as well. Maybe not perfect adaptions of the manga series, but still fun to watch.

Nodame Cantabile drama might even be superior. @_@
