If you are searching for chibi art and a fan of cute animals such as nekos (cats) or kitsunes (fox), you might enjoy this. ^_^

Artwork: Colourful + Simple -> Designed to ease viewers in, as the design is to reel you into the aspects of childish fun & games.

Story: A very spoiled neko -_- , and must be punished -> outcome? You decided: "Stay spoiled" || "becomes Obedient" :T + random storylines that gives you a chuckle or two to remember.

Sound: Additional sounds such as passive natural background noises included should be a supplement to this anime. As of now, the sounds are read more

This anime is about the everyday life of a cat god who was kicked out of heaven because she is a lazy bum good for nothing. Her parents asked her to go down to Earth and stay there. She now lives with a human girl who runs an antique shop. The anime is mostly about the cat god and her fellow gods spending time together and getting into some trouble along the way.

People would’ve probably just passed through this anime and didn’t give it a second look. I kind of understand because this anime is a bit dull and plain. An anime released in 2011 read more

Everyday life comedies about "I got a new buddy who is not a human"

- Both stories are about a human spending time and building a friendship with a creature from another area of his/her world (mythological creature or gods). - This creature have a half human, half animal body.
- This creature is a weirdo among its fellows (the funny weirdo not the creepy one) because of a strong (but yet something annoying for the human which it so funny for us watcher) personality.
- The stories take place in the human world but we get to discover the "other" world and the other weirdo friends of this endearing creature. We also discover that despite their origins, they have the same problem (annoying but great friends, perverts, heartbreak and parent issues, etc.) and even lifestyle (especially in Muromi-san for the latter)

- Muromi-san is only about trying to make you laugh like hell (you can guess it just from the opening) as in Nekogami sometime they try to make you cry (don't worry, only one or two drops no more)
- Muromi-san's story is really focus on present and the creature: the story start when they met and we don't get to know the past or current life of the human so we only know him through Muromi, but we get to know some stuff about the past life of Muromi-san.
- The humour is more composed in Negokami: no boobs bashing for example... (yes it's a must-seen scene in Muromi-san)
Natsume Yuujinchou is about the daily life of a boy named Takashi that inherits the ability to see & speak to yokai from his grandmother whereas Nekogami Yaoyorozu revolves around the daily life of a Cat God named Mayu that was expelled from her home & forced to live on earth. Both series give a calm yet not so boring vibe that makes you yearn for more. Another similarity that both series have are the heartwarming friendships the MC's gain throughout the series. Also note that Nekogami Yaoyorozu is more comedy oriented.
Nekogami Yaoyorozu are both slice-of-life comedy anime with a cute art style, a pinch of drama, and a rather similar sense of humor.
Same kind of humor. If someone enjoyed Hayate no Gotoku, they might like Nekogami Yaoyorozu as well.
Both are non-ecchi and focus on the comedy aspect.

Fortune versus misfortune, godly powers trying to effect the world. Not to mention a bit of humor.
Nekogami is Touhou with different characters.
And slightly different plot.
