comedy ecchi harem romance
SynopsisSmall for his age, Yukinari has been bullied and abused by girls all his life. Now in high school, he has developed a rare condition: whenever girls touch him, or even come close, he breaks out in hives. Imagine his surprise, when he is suddenly transported to the city of Seiren on a mystic world invisibly orbiting the Earth, and populated with vast numbers of women and very few men. Fortunately, he has a new friend, Miharu-chan, whose touch inexplicably doesn't affect him.

Characters & Voice Actors
This one of the most under-rated animes i've seen. Some people might not notice the charm in this anime, thus why i will tell you. And this is a review of the series as a whole(seasons 1&2).
I wont give a synopsis because you have probably already read it.
I think it's a really charming story. I cant stop feeling bad for Yukinari(the protonagist). He lives all alone at home. He barely have any friends and is bullied by both boys and girls. Also is he small for a boy, which leads to having even more complexes. But the most noticable is his symptom. He has had bad experiences with girls. Ever since he was a child he has been bullied. This seem to be the origin of his sympton. Every time a girl touches him he breakes out in hives.
When he meets Miharu things change. Not only is she the only girls he isn't allergic to. He meets someone that cares for him. And not his she only cute, she has some amazing talents. Shes an amazing cook and a caring person. Also a bit of a loli. It makes you really happy that he meets someone like her. Because Yukinari really deserves it. Miharu tend to unconciosly get Yukinari in trouble and make him worried. Which often leads to funny situations. Since she's not used to earth she's very lost.
The love between Yukinari and Miharu progress slowly. It is obvious that he care a lot about her. If it had progressed any faster I don't think the harem story had worked.
Serien(the planet Miharu is from) is a dream harem. A beautiful planet filled with beutiful women that crave for men, which is kind of ironic when you compare Seiren to earth. ^^
The character animations has a really distinct style, i dont think i've seen anything like it. If we're talking about skill it's average. But i really like the use of colors and the female characters are drawn very well.
The OP and ED are both great. Especially the OP called "Going My Way". The lyrics are great and charming. The artist's voice is beautiful. The sound consist of many different instruments blended with digital sounds. The BGM is also really good. It's really difficult to explain why. You have to hear it yourself.
The series has some really great voice actors from various animes as Kanon(2006), Clannad, Nodame Cantabile and Baccano!
The characteres are really great. Instead of using a typcial male protoganist(A normal guy with brown hair and average height) we get something different for change. And Fukuyama is simply amazing, he does the job of being an idiot exellently. He's a filthy rich perv with dreams of having his dream harem(and the girls of Girls Bravo is a part of that). He treats women as sexobjects. Kirie always make sure to punish him. Fukuyama tend to show at any time, simply showing he has too much free time. lol
The show is really hilarious. The humor is really crazy, some people may find it just odd, well they're boring people then. There's a lot of exageration which is hilarious. There a few lolis more than most shows. Lolis are always funny and cute. read more
Bravo! Bravo Girls Bravo! Thanks for bringing something fresh in the ecchi genre! It's not all good and fresh though, so allow me to explain what I mean.
Story: The story in Girls Bravo has a likeness to other shows like Heaven's Lost Property where some guy get's accidentally met by some person that's not from this earth. However, the show does bring some freshness to the ecchi genre. For instance, the reason that Miharu has an interest in Yukinari (at least at first) is not because he's hot or because she likes his personality, but it's because men practically don't exist on her planet and she finds him interesting. This main part of the story did seem very original and did try to stray away from the classic ecchi storyline. However, as the story went on it got to a point where it made no sense! Like when all of a sudden they try to find Koyomi a man, Kirie suggests they dress in sexy, provocative clothes! They know that it won't end well and yet they do it! Why?! Especially since Kirie attacks others for the slightest perverted thoughts they might have, why would she even think about doing that!. It all just seemed very random at about the halfway point of the show. To top it all off, at the end of the first season I felt as if I was right back where I started. Nothing too big ever happened except for when Koyomi and Kazuharu had ping pong dual where you could easily see how it was going to turn out at the end. To say the least, the show's story (for the most part) was like the Radiohead song..."No Surprises". *BaDumTish*
Characters: Of all of them in the show, one really did surprise me: Yukinari. He strayed away from the classic ecchi protagonist with his girl "disease" that made him have an interesting and complex personality which definitely get's huge props from me! The others, however, were nothing special. What I mean by this is that they really didn't stray away from all the stereotypical characters in most ecchi shows. You got your classic shy girl and small girl with a big mouth (if that's how you put it) as well as others. As with Heaven's Lost Property, they do have their time in the spotlight. But these instances are few, which make these characters below average for me.
Soundtrack: *snaps fingers and starts trying to dance* Girls bravo has one of the funkiest, most ear pleasing soundtracks i have heard in a long time. Those parts in the show where the characters were having a good time had a song in it that makes you want to get up and dance! If there's one thing you can't deny about Girls Bravo, it is its unbelievably awesome OST.
Art: The art in Girls Bravo is...eh. What i mean by this is that its art is OK (leaning more to the below average side of the spectrum). Most of the time the backgrounds of the show were blurry and seemed rushed. Sometimes the characters looked disproportionate and weird and it all had this "foggy" feel to it which was not very pleasant to look at. But what was just mentioned happened about half of the time. The other half that has not been talked about was average and overall not bad.
To sum this review up, if you're looking for something funny and don't mind a lot of erotic images and "pervert!!" jokes, You're in for one wacky, ridiculous show that might please many viewers. But for me, one who has gotten quite tired of ecchi show's predictable, stereotypical nature, has to give it a 4 out of 10. Not to say that you won't enjoy this show, but if you've seen other shows in the ecchi genre, there's really nothing to see here.
P.S. Thanks to all who took the time to read the whole review! read more
A normal guy falls inlove with an alien girl. These girls don't know much about the planet Earth so they do some weird things while living at there "lover" place. Even through the guys don't have parents living at there house, so both of these animes are very similar...
Ecchi + Aliens + Shy Main Character + comedy = very similiar.
The meet in when a naked girl appears out of nowhere in his bath-tub just like in the anime "girls bravo" and she want to stay on earth and have the boy all to her self and she is not human its the same kind of story in some ways but you can also cal it different...
They both have a girl from a strange planet appear out of nowhere
Although they are both mostly filler, there are plenty of funny moments fused with top-notch ecchi, and even some romantic moments that tug on your heartstrings a bit, all fueled by a fun, light-hearted cast of characters. The plot of both shows centers around a love triangle between the lead male character who is a high school loner, a female classmate who has been friends with the guy for a while, and a ditsy pink-haired girl whose alien background throws the main characters on hilarious adventures.
- Multiple Girls After One Guy (Harem)
- Girl From Other Planet As Main Character
- Main Guy Is A "Nice Guy" Type
- Both Have More Then 1 Season
Awkward male main character meets beautiful but airheaded girl from another planet/realm who begins living with him. She's unfamiliar with Earth's customs and standards of modesty and always embarrasses the main character or stirs up trouble with her antics, which become the subject material for most episodes. Slowly becomes a harem as her siblings/friends from her home planet are introduced and also live in the same household.
Very funny, cute characters and ecchi. And although both shows are mostly episodic, the endings of their second seasons both involve the girl getting taken away and everyone working to bring her back.
Opening Theme"Going My Way" by Yozuca
Ending Theme"Koko ni Irukara..." by Miyuki Hashimoto
