Synopsis

Onto their third serialization, manga duo Moritaka Mashiro and Akito Takagi—also known by their pen name, Muto Ashirogi—are ever closer to their dream of an anime adaption. However, the real challenge is only just beginning: if they are unable to compete with the artist Eiji Niizuma in the rankings within the span of six months, they will be canceled. To top it off, numerous rivals are close behind and declaring war. They don't even have enough time to spare thinking about an anime!

In Bakuman. 3rd Season, Muto Ashirogi must find a way to stay atop the colossal mountain known as the Shounen Jack rankings. With new problems and new assistants, the pair continue to strive for their dream.

Bakuman Season 3 was good.
I have a few problems with it though. First off, half the anime everyone was just saying "Arigatou Guzaimasu". It was... weird.
Second it was scary how seriously they took work. I noticed they never enjoyed personal time, and Takagi never really spent time with his wife. He was always working on Manga. When are they going to enjoy life?

Third this anime was a little similar to season 2, in that they spent the entire show working on another manga. It was nice seeing them progressing differently than the other season but still.
This is a longer anime at 75 episodes ...

Well, well, well, what do we have here? It's the third season of Bakuman, the anime about making manga. And let me tell you, it's like watching paint dry, but with more angst.

Now don't get me wrong, I love a good underdog story. But there's something about watching a bunch of teenagers drawing pictures that just doesn't quite do it for me. The characters are all a little too earnest for my taste - where's the sarcasm and the snark?

But I will say this - the animation is top-notch. It's like they spent all their budget on making the characters' ...

Bakuman, the manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba and draw by Takeshi Obata, the same creator of Death Note, has the metalanguage as the central idea, in other words, the mangá talking about mangá, the cinema talking about cinema, the language talking about language. The main discussion that can been about this (and the positivest too) is it's not resume only in a autoavaliation like art work, with discussions about composition and narrative like citations in mangá, but a autoavaliation like media product in a big mass cultural industry (japonese editorial market, in this case), that work in a hierarquic and hard system positions and ...
