SynopsisTen years ago, a massive invasion by the Erebonian Empire almost shattered the Kingdom of Liberl, piercing to the heart of Capital City before being driven back by a determined counteroffensive led by Cassius Bright. Now, as the invaders pace behind the northern borders, coveting the small kingdom's magic and high technology, Liberl slowly rebuilds with the aid of the Bracer's Guild, whose mystical use of "Craft" is even more intrinsic to the nation's defense than its own army. For young Estelle Bright, daughter of Cassius, this is all just ancient history that she and her adopted brother Joshua learned as kids. But history has a way of repeating itself, and as they prepare to join the Bracers Guild themselves, sinister forces are preparing to thrust them into the familiar family situation of being in the worst possible place when mayhem breaks out. Because when their father's airship goes suddenly missing, of course it only makes sense to two green, but extraordinarily capable, young teenagers to strike out on a rescue mission of their own!

Who would've thought my first review would be for something like this? x3
Well, I have to admit, I REALLY enjoyed this even though I had no background information at all! I haven't played the games, heck, I never even heard of this series before. But despite that, this was a very enjoyable series for me :)
What I liked most about this series is the art and (especially) the animation. The art was very clear and the colors were lively. The animation was AWESOME! I felt like I was watching a movie (Well, OVAs are close enough :P) The animation in the fight scenes was very smooth and intricately done, so there was no awkward movements (like in Naruto -.-") Honestly, I would recommend watching this solely for the fight scenes. They were that good.
So Art: 10/10, a real eye candy :)
As for the story, I found it best to try and remember most of the terms and names that are mentioned in order to understand the story to some degree. There aren't that much, though they come at you in hordes right from the start. and I can understand you might feel a bit overwhelmed at first with all the new and weird-sounding names, but try to hold on a little bit longer and most of your questions as to who's who and who did what will be answered by the second episode. Now the story might not be the most original or interesting, basically it's about a girl looking for her (boy)friend, but a lot of interesting stuff happens in between. There's plenty of ACTUALLY FUNNY comedy, one brief moment of ecchi for those who enjoy that stuff (personally I can't stand it...), lots of action and violence, there's even the typical "tragic past" along with some drama... so basically it's a nice cocktail of several genres in one, but it's done well in my opinion that it's actually satisfying despite....... I won't spoil :)
So Story: 9/10, interesting enough to keep you watching till the end even if you're not familiar with the basic story of the games.
The OP, ED, and background music were BEAUTIFUL. They were not distracting at all, if anything they enhanced the overall mood from beginning to end. Sorry, I don't know how to comment on these things xD
Sound: 10/10, thumbs up from me :)
As for the characters, I really don't know what to say xD there wasn't that much character development, and there are a lot of inter-character issues that are left unresolved (as expected from a 2 episode OVA); however, I think overall the characters were fascinating. They might not stand out so much like the main cast of One Piece, but you can sense each one is unique in his/her own way. What I like most was that the bad guys weren't so stereotypically evil, I mean they were believable and you can actually understand where they're coming from. Another thing is that, for once, the good guys aren't "all-powerful" and capable of defeating 200 men in under 2 minutes. They actually get their asses kicked pretty hard and quite often too. That definitely added to the realistic feeling.
Estelle is a very intriguing character xD She's very optimistic (but NOT in an annoying way) and she causes most of the comedy. Honestly, you don't get bored of her. And I'll leave it at that :)
So Character: 9/10, basically their mysteriousness is what drives your interest to keep watching.
Overall enjoyment: 10!!! :D I really recommend it! But make sure you're in the mood for some mental effort cuz you're going to need it to understand the plot. If you're looking for some mindless action,.....this might work out, but you'll enjoy it even more if you actually understand what's going on :] read more

I had the OP on my iPod way before i stared watching anime....and that's the only reason why i watched this show in the first place :P
The story starts off with a little introduction of the background story and then it leads to girl trying to find her boyfriend :P. So that's what's rest of the story based on.
Story- 6
The story of this show is pretty typical but the entire storyline was such a rush...the show end after 2 epi with a tons of unfinished stuff.
Art- 5
The art is also typical with no different style where all the character's face are the same shape.
Sound -7
I like the soundtrack of this show, overall the reason why i watched this show is because i heard the opening before.
Overall this isn't a bad show, but to me the storyline and the character design is just too typical but is only 80mins so maybe if you have the time.....it wound't be a bad choose :P
