I'm a huge X-men fan. What makes that rough for me is that I'm also a big believer in canon and continuity. In other words, movies like Wolverine: Origins and the First Class movies just make me angry, as a fan that spends half the time trying to get backstories right. Which is why I was so happy with the two X-men based anime, Wolverine and X-men. They were perfectly done, perfectly converted from West to East.

STORY: I had to laugh out loud. When the anime started it was like reliving my childhood, watching an updated (and non-English) version of X-men: The Animated Series. read more

I’m not gonna elaborate anything else about this anime; I’m going straight to the point. By the way I don’t have any access to any X-Men comic books both old and new, besides we don’t get a lot of those here in Mexico, and if we Mexicans do, it cost a fortune. So, my review is based upon the 8th episode of this anime that I’ve watched, with some comparison with the usual X-Men US animated series that I’ve also watched. By, there are a couple of more episode to go,how it goes, I just making a guess.

Story- mediocre 5.

So, this X-men simply read more

I am torn on writing this review. Primarily because i used to be an avid fan of the comic book way back when i was younger, and the X-men have been my fav comic book group for so long. I really don't know where to star with this one.

Upon writing this review, i had just finished watching the 4th episode, since it is the latest release. I'll prob revise this again after the series finished so this review is my initial impressions of this Anime.

To start off, i can see that this is way better than the wolverine anime in terms of overall impression. read more

So what happens when Gonzo and Marvel team up to make an anime based on Marvel's greatest comic, you get something that's for sure but is it good or complete crap? Considering I know next to nothing on any of Marvel's series besides what the live-action movies tell me I will try and give my take on the X-Men anime.

Story 7/10 - The story seems to take place after the death of Jean Grey when the X-Men have disbanded and are each in completly different areas doing their own thing, this changes when Professor X gets a cry for help from some folks in Japan, read more

Anime: Tokyo ESP
Both anime feature people with "supernatural" powers fighting against normal people and others with "supernatural" powers. One group cares for and protects humanity while the other group cares nothing for human life and only wishes to strengthen their own power. In "Tokyo ESP" the supernatural powers are described as being ESP while in "X-Men" the powers are described as "Mutations". Both also take place in real places.

Anime: Akame ga Kill!
"Akame ga Kill!" and "X-Men" involve a team of powerful heroes each with their own unique abilities setting out to defeat the overwhelming force of evil and restore justice.

Both series are focused on action and contain materials regarding body-manipulations, whether it was via surgical or genetic methods.

Anime: Zettai Karen Children: The Unlimited - Hyoubu Kyousuke
Very similar powers and theme:

This is for both Zettai Karen Children series and The Unlimited Hyoubu Kyousuke series

- We have an organization/ group similar to Professor X School for Mutants---ZKC-BABEL who want to create a world where Espers and Normals can coesist. Similar to Mutants and Humans in X-Men. Here they train Espers to use their powers for good while there are evil people who use them too.

Another organization/ group similar to Magneto. In ZKC/Kyousuke is called PANDRA. PANDRA wants to recruit Esper who are being hated by humans and want to give them freedom. A place for them  read more

Anime: Night Head Genesis
Both animes relate to characters who have "superpowers" or are above average humans in some way. Many of the characters in both of the series sometimes struggle to come to terms with their powers.
