Hikarinoharu
As I can't be teleported into an Isekai and chase my dreams and stuff :-P I have to do the regular way compensating time that I lost due to my cancer story in the past. So I am busy with college and work... once I manage to finish my exams and so, I will gladly write to you guys again :-)
Hi guys, let me randomly throw stuff that I just think of right now:
Shounen, Shoujo, Action, Comedy, Fantasy, Romance are a bit on my preference regarding Genres in general. "Feel good" Animes or "Iyashikei" or Psychologically challenging ones I enjoy from time to time too :-D
Shoujo I think for Mangas? Although I read quiet a few Mangas of the Animes I watch.
For Games, with a high gap to other genres: music/dance and JRPG ☆*。★゚*♪ヾ(☆ゝз・)ノ If you are around in Japan when I visit, please let us play Taiko no Tatsujin or other games together :-D
I use MAL for being up to date with Animes and Mangas and finding more of these joyful creations ...
And I also like to talk/write to you, so expect quiet a few messages if you are in my friendlist.
If I randomly sent you a friends request... then the reason is most likely because I am curious about your Anime/Manga and/or Video Game taste, as I am always looking forward to more of them to laugh, weep tears or melt from the cutness radiating of romance and more :-)
My ratings are based on personal enjoyment.
I did not rate any of the above mentioned genres that I don't like lower than bad...
because I don't want it to drop it too low, some other might like them (Like my friends who do ;-)
Hika/ *Polyglott / lvl 34
Polyglott: German, English/Conversational French
Some Slavic Languages, Conversational Japanese
and some words in Korean... but mostly from K-Dramas :-P The same for Chinese.
(as soon as I get the hang of it, I will play with the Codes and sort to design my page :-)
Greetings from Switzerland

Have you been studying Japanese too and what do you think of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin (manga)?
TBQH, I love it more than its 1979 counterpart and Yoshikazu Yasuhiko being its artist really helped.
Silent Möbius QD was one of the last manga that I read besides Ah! My Goddess.
I'm looking forward to reading indie comics by Year of the Snake.
No wonder your English is good :) Are you going straight from B2 to C2? I didn't know you can do that. Yes, we can always learn from each other ^^
I am glad I got to taught you a new phrase, you're welcome! :D Yes, I also try to care for others, it doesn't hurt to try, rather you feel better xD
I have some experience with the countryside, I guess I need to stay there for a while to make a proper judgement.
I'm glad you like Ghibli's version of Country Roads and Vocaloid :D You're probably right, having a bucket list does seem motivational.
I find peace in my room, because I'm out and about quite often xD I've also had lunch by the canal and I found it very peaceful =^_^=
I agree, hahaha xD
I will! (o^-^o)
That was very noble of you and your friend :')
Your criterion are reasonable and make a lot of sense :)
Haha, thanks. It is interesting. My English level is equivalent to C1, that's why I only teach this subject in tuitions. Hikari-san will be in a higher level of English than me! I should be getting help from you! XD
Wow, Hikari-san is rather a talented Jill of all trades! That's just so impressive! :D
All of your endeavours are related to helping too, this just shows how much of a caring person you are :')
I do love nature, animals and helping others out too. It's just in the city everything is much more convenient ^^"
I agree that travelling alone has a lot of benefits. I want to see the shops from Kiki's Delivery Service and Whisper of the Heart among other places.
I love the Japanese version of Country Roads (the one from Whisper of the Heart). I also like quite a few Vocaloid songs ^^
I agree, learning songs help out a lot. Wow, your bucket list is a great one. There are things I'd like to do like go on holiday on a cruise ship, go to Disneyland, etc but they're not really in a bucket list. I don't think I have a bucket list :/
Very well said Hikari-san! :D
People say that life is fast-paced in the city, I can't really compare because I haven't stayed in the countryside enough to be able to compare. Do you feel this claim about city life being fast paced is true? True, there are a lot of libraries around :D
That's great, I believe it's important to be close to family and doing things like these strengthen our bonds ^^
It used to be regular, they live in their own houses now though, but I still have tea time with them when they're around or when I go to their places and I really enjoy it :)
I guess I have still yet to reach that place, but I'm too comfortable in the place I'm in right now though ^^"
Thank you! If I need any advice regarding Ireland, I'll be sure to ask you! :D
Yes, the ending credits was an emotional rollercoaster for me ~.~
I'm proud of you for sacrificing your precious saved data in order to help someone in the future :')
I do find Philosophy interesting to a certain extent, what about you? :)
That's a very firm resolve you have regarding your future in relation to your past ^^
I mainly teach Religious Studies and with tuitions I teach other subjects as well, English and IT. I was wondering what Hikari-san's occupation is.
Woah, I don't think I'll ever be willing to travel alone, I would travel with family members if I had to travel. I'm quite a family-orientated person, I spend a lot of time with my family and relatives. I guess I had the wrong idea about Akihabara ^^" I've seen a clip on YouTube regarding Ghibli Park, it looks like a place filled with wonder and magic :D
I don't have anyone to talk to in Japanese in real life :/
My conversations would be too short xD
3 years of studying is a good amount of time :D
Woah, you're incredibly adventurous, I don't think I'll be able to travel this much o: I'm amazed with your outlook. I don't know haha xD
Yay~ I'd like to surpass limits in certain things and stay within limits of certain things, if that makes sense ^^"
No, hahaa I didn't mean I like to dig further in, sorry xD
Thanks! :D
What I like about the countryside is how it's different to the city. The open hills with fields of crops and silence is something you can't really find in the city =^.^=
Unfortunately for Hikari-san, I love the city more though, I'm too used to the noisy life ^^"
But the countryside is definitely more beautiful ^^
That's unfortunate. We started quite spontaneously when we did. It started off by my sisters having tea/coffee together and talking about how our family should do more together. Maybe you can try that! :D
My family members are quite over protective of me, so I don't think I'll be able to travel alone. Hmm, I can't decide, maybe Republic of Ireland?
Yes, I now feel like I have met them ^^
Honestly yeah. Most of my day is spent at the hospital and then I just gym, read up manga I need to catch up to or spend time with the family. Corona chan has been tough on us
Hahahaha well every position is imp so I respect it xD
Hikari-san must've had a difficult past :( It's nice to see that you're very optimistic about surpassing your limits, I need to be like that! xD It's alright, because it's the summer holiday now, I don't plan on holding classes at this moment anyway ^^ After the holiday if lockdown persists then I might have to consider providing online classes for my tuitions.
I probably would've gone to Disneyland but I'm not willing to travel alone and my peers don't share the same interest... I could imagine how it could be a different experiece :) How did Hikari-san go to Disneyland, alone or with others? I could only imagine Akihabara feeling like Disneyland xD I've seen on YouTube that there's a museum of the Sunny-go in Japan, did you possibly go there?
Oh, I guess I was wrong about saying it's nothing like Anime xD I should go, not anytime soon though, hopefully some time in the future :) That's a great way to look at things, if someone expects too much then they're more likely to be disappointed ^^"
I can't even talk properly xD I mix formal and informal because of my lack of knowledge of Japanese xD Woah, you can hold a conversation already with natives o: lol, 'weird' people are interesting :P But I don't find Hikari-san weird xD You sure are adventurous! How many places have you been in your world trip? I hope you don't expect too much from my Japanese xD But yes, I have put a lot of time into it :)
I'll not ask any more regarding your name, it seems like I'm digging too deep xD
I was born in England, I would say the total time I spent in Bangladesh would just be a few months ^^ I am definitely more used to England, because I was here for nearly my entire life xD Oh, Hikari-san was in London? o: That's where I'm from! (o^-^o) I've visited the countryside quite a few times and I enjoyed it everytime! It's great you've met people with diverse backgrounds, you're well cultured! :D Good luck in your next visit!
I've just been to Yorkshire from your list and a few other places :) I don't travel often, it's just two years ago my family started going on holiday around England. Two years ago I've gone to Brighton, last year to Ramsgate and Margate. Last week I went to Dover :) Last time I went abroad was 20 years ago xD
I don't think I know anyone who hasn't travelled at all, they do seem to be quite interesting. It makes sense that they'd be appreciative, I'm quite intrigued of how they perceive things o: Probably I've met people like that but I may not be aware of it xD
I could understand that when you're knee deep inside a stressful environment, you can appreciate the little things that normally go under-appreciated :) I do hope that you're not overworking yourself though. I'm out of work currently because of the lockdown situation and summer holiday, I should hopefully get back to work in the new term :)
Wow, it was a childhood dream of mine to go to Disneyland, but I couldn't :( I do still plan on going when I have a significant other in my life or when I have kids, to fulfill the dream of the child me ^^ I wonder what parts from Japan felt like Disneyland =^.^=
6 months is quite a long time o: I know! You still have to earn, pay expenses, etc. Could the difference be how monotonous it could be over there? I am aware that Japan has scrict occupational and social norms that one should abide by, not as exciting as Anime makes it seem xD
Yes, you do learn a great lesson, I'll say no more because I don't want to ruin a masterpiece. I hope you get the chance to play it someday! :D Thank you ^^
I haven't heard of the game until now ^^" It does sound like it's a part of the Tales series of games like Tales of Phantasia and so on. I've tried playing Tales of Phantasia a little many years ago, I can't remember anything though ^^"
Thank you~ =^.^= It's great to hear that One Piece has helped you in such a way, I'm so happy (o^-^o) Many stories resonate with our lives or give us an escape and I've felt that too.
My Japanese conversational skills are all over the place, I often mix formal with informal xD I agree, we can learn from each other! Maybe one day we'll be able to have full-on conversations in Japanese rather than English xD You seem to know quite a lot already ^^ Does Hikari-san go abroad often? Good luck in learning more Japanese in your next visit! (^-^)ゝ I agree, many times when I'm watching with others something that doesn't translate Japanese signs, etc, I'm often asked to translate and that's when I can really appreciate the fruits of my efforts =^.^=
Oh, your name is really intriguing. I wonder what the old stories could be, perhaps I have already stumbled upon your name without realising :p You are welcome Hikari-san! (^◇^)
I'm glad you find that cool xD last time I went there was 20 years ago, so I myself don't know much about the country ^^" I'm glad they like the food from my parents' country, I really like the food too!
\(^o^)/ Oh, that's such a wonderful thing to say, thank you! =^-^= I'm also sure that Hikari-san would make a great character in a story, people who travel have very interesting lives from what I've observed and so far I've been getting those vibes from you ^^
Oh no. In fact it's been ages since I last hiked :/
Haha I appreciate you think that way. Also ey, if you stopping dem goalz, you're probably a legendary GK in the making XD
Thanks! :D Language skills are amazing, you can make the most boring thing sound amazing with good language skills xD
Oh, I see. I guess you're still taking your baby steps here as well :')
I also used to have the idea that Japan has that Disney-like feeling to it but as I grew older, I realised that if I lived there, it probably wouldn't be that much different than where I am now ^^" That's nice to hear, I wonder what the other things were that you found incredible ^^
You're right, they do have that effect. Yes, I've played NieR Automata and I'm glad you know of it! :D It was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a game. =^.^= Did Hikari-san play it?
Yes, you're right with everything you said about One Piece :D
It's just in its own league. You've put it in a nice way and you're right. We become like the ones with whom we enjoy spending time :) in this case, even Animes we enjoy watching ^^
My learning was very unconventional. I started by learning a few words, followed by the Kana, some grammar and finally some Kanji. I got really bored memorising Kanji so I had to think of a way to not get bored. I remembered that with language classes in School, we were given a page to translate to English. Also, I remembered a Brazilian friend who learnt English from playing Final Fantasy games :D So I just thought I might as well learn this way. So I started playing a few Japanese games and would type out the transcript in a Word Document and then attempt to translate it. I've learnt a lot of Kanji this way but it makes the game painfully long ~.~ But it's a much more fun and rewarding way to learn for me. I can't read as much as you're probably thinking. It takes long just to identify the Kanji I'm not familiar with ^^"
Haha, the way you've learnt is the best way in terms of learning speech imo, I'm terrible at that >.<
Thanks. That's really interesting, unfortunately I don't know any languages of Sweden so I have no idea xD I'm sure its a wonderful name though ^^
Yes, exactly ^^ I was born and raised in England. My ethnicity is not English though as my parents are from Bangladesh.
I meant the wisdom through experience.
Our tastes are the destination and our experience is the journey, everyone's journey is unique but many of us end in a shared destination. Your wisdom from the experiences of MAL is most definitely more than my baby steps here xD
I liked it so much that I added it to my favourites. I would've told you what theme really fascinates me but I don't want to spoil it so maybe I'll have to tell another time :)
It's great to have your friends start Anime, I'm happy for you! ^^
Yeay~ you're welcome! I still haven't watched Neon Genesis Evangelion, I should add it to my PTW list. Thanks for mentioning it! O~h, you've been to Japan? Lucky you ^^
I haven't and I don't mind going there some time.
I'm still watching One Piece and not really looking for anything else right now, but I am adding recommendations that people are suggesting :)
You're welcome! I've been studying on and off (a lot of offs ^^") from the age of 16. I'm 26 now, so it's been 10 years o:
What about you?
Yes, my username is very odd indeed xD
It contains my initial(s). alz was my nickname from my childhood ^^
(I didn't know of the medical term back then but I've grown attached to it nonetheless) ^^"
I really like Hikari-san's emojis, they're really cute =^.^=
I look forward to the pearls of wisdom you have to share ^^
My intro is just a link to my introduction page :')
Hooray! \(^o^)/
Nearly all of the Anime I've watched were recommendations from people I know irl. I've watched most of them in my teen years. My best friend still recommends me Anime to watch, as he has a similar taste. I ended up with Gundam with the 'random' button though, but luckily I enjoy it ^^
For the movie Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms I just searched in Google 'Anime Movies.' I don't really look for specific genres as I'm open to exploring all kinds of Anime, unless the title or summary is too weird for me xD
What about Hikari-san?
Oh yeah, your username is just lovely! Does it mean Light of Spring? =^.^=
I read your introduction and found it very wise and insightful :)
I'm glad we have quite a similar taste in Anime ^^
