Are you ever going to watch the fillers? I heard that dc has very little story progression anyways so if the filler are all unique detective cases, I can imagine that they would be pretty interesting still. But I 100% agree with you on anime being great to watch during the lockdown. That was when I caught up to Berserk manga and when Chainsaw Man part 1 was releasing weekly. Those were some highlights that pushed me through online school especially.
I have the same bingewatching mentality as you. Although I like keeping up with manga weekly/monthly. But binging anime is sooo much better than keeping up with it every week. I also have frieren on my plan to watch but I think I will watch apothecary diaries first since it seems more interesting to me.
No need to ever worry about late replies, I understand being busy so now worries 😅 I hope a lot of good comes from your internship, whatever it may be.
It must be nice to be a Detective Conan fan because you will never run out of episodes. I am surprised you caught up to it lol. I also love mystery and have been waiting for the Apothecary Diaries to finish airing so that I can watch it on my own pace.
I'm glad that you enjoyed Umineko because it really is a one of a kind story and I feel like there will never be another story similar. And I also enjoy mystery and romance, are one of those your favorite genre?
I'm really surprised that you don't know about Higurashi. It was the first of Ryukishi07 (Umineko author)'s works and Umineko is actually considered the spiritual successor to it, hence the similar names. Higurashi and Umineko have ties like certain characters looking the same or some Higurashi references in Umineko. I would highly recommend Higurashi, while the writing is not as intricate as Umineko's writing, it still has very heartwarming themes and the story structure is very similar. If you want to watch it in anime form, STAY AWAY from the 2020 version no matter what, although you should read the manga in my opinion.
RIGHT I'm so bad at correctly solving mysteries but it's still so fun. It really does make me wonder how people were able to think of such things it's an amazing talent. Wait also is the Monogatari series finished yet or ongoing?
