Attack on Titan is a modern masterpiece. It's not simply a work of fiction that has produced excellent season after season; it's also one of the very few anime that have penetrated into the mainstream, so much so that people who don't watch anime at all have experienced and liked it.
But the thing that makes AOT stand above all is how well it blends morality. Who's right? Who's wrong? A lot of stories can get lost asking this question and make the watcher confused. But not here. You seriously start asking these questions and it all make sense.
One of the highlights of the Attack on Titan series is Eren's character development. Because of his hotheaded personality, he wasn't always a popular favorite, but as time passed, his perspective on the world around him shifted. But not just the MC, the side characters in the series are well-written and have their own growth and ideals. Some of them are even better written than most MC in other anime these days.
Attack on Titan is a classic.
