i wanna re-write some old fanfics of mine too, but my initial gusto and excitement when i first wrote them wouldn't be the same anymore. and i liked how all my HP fanfics ended, so i'm leaving it as is for now lol why doesn't your friend want you to use the old friend oc anymore?

how you enjoying your summer so far?

i started a few fanfics over the last couple of years, but they seldom get to see the light of day. hmm...well, there was a one-shot My Hero Academia fanfic I wrote a year or two ago, and I had ever intention of expanding said one-shot, but I lost interest watching MHA so the inspiration to continue writing kinda dwindled lol

that's great that you can control your server and who joins. i created one too, and for a while it was a nice, comfy, fun server, then drama ensued and that just ruined the fun for everyone.

fires are expected yearly, especially around summertime, but we can't be sure which area of the vast forestland will lit up and if it'll be from our side of the province or on the side of the province west of us. this year it hit one of the popular tourist towns and devastated quite a lot of historical buildings from what i heard.

that's great that you found jobs that suits your introvertness lol i am an introvert to, although i can be sociable from time to time, but most of the time being by my lonesome and interacting with people from afar is my best lol

nothing wrong with a quiet town. sometimes those small towns that aren't popular destinations often boasts the best scenic views to captivate others who are not native to your land.

i find that as i got older, i find it harder and harder to write fanfics coz of so many other ideas swirling in my head; i can't concentrate on what i'm currently working on! lol i used to hangout on discord before, but i find that there's a helluvalot of freaking drama on practically every channel group i ended up joining lol

we are experiencing a heatwave, hence the tornado, but i think this past couple of days, tornado is the last thing on everyone's minds coz we are dealing with our usual forest fires; lots of people near the mountains are being evacuated to almost every available town/city that can take evacuees in during this time. rain is in the forecast for tonight though, so hopefully we get a lot of rainfall that'll hopefully stop the fire from spreading.

not a big fan either, not to mention rubbing up against sweaty people trying to get from point A to point B is enough to make me wanna run screaming towards the bathroom and take a shower to wash off all the dirt, grime and whatnots lol

i look at some of my old fanfics and cringe too when i re-read them. now when i read them again i see different ways i could've written it or worded certain things, but that was the fun of writing fanfics. i've been wanting to write some anime fanfics, and i think i was able to do that, but i can't write long, chaptered ones anymore.

Canada Day marks the anniversary of when Canada entered the confederation, so a lot of happenings, fairs and fireworks before midnight were happening. i think i only went and watched the fireworks a handful of times before i decided it was too much of a headache/hassle for me to go to the park where they have the fireworks setup coz after the fireworks, it's a helluva tough time getting out of the parking lot and dealing with traffic lol

i think coming across those types of fanfics made me lose interest in reading any more fanfics. i wondered what happened to the old fanfic writers who used to write awesome stories, and why were they replaced with writers who just wants to write whatever or doesn't really think much about the plot and flow of the story?! lol

we had a couple of days when we went up close to the 40s, but last night it rained so that cooled things up a bit for us. hopefully your weather decides to make up its mind on whether it's gonna be hot or cold lol

Right now we're enjoying real summer weather complete with lotsa sun. Today I think our temps went up to 32C (not sure if your temps are measured in Celsius or Fahrenheit, but just in case, it's 90F in Fahrenheit lol). But usually when we get weather like this, we're bound to end up with thunderstorms or maybe tornado warnings.

Canada Day was a quiet day for me. I think as I got older I tend to stay away from all the festivities happening that day, unless I have kids, which I don't, so I can stay at home and hide away from the crowd lol

Reading your typed native language gives off German vibe, but you said your country is close to Germany, so it can't be Germany. Hmm...I love my geography and this is making me do some major research! lol Uhm...is it...Luxembourg (did I even spell that right?! lol)

It was a story. and writing ooc characters in fanfiction is way better coz you can actually push the limits of each character, so to speak lol and besides, the reason fans write fanfic is because they wanna write scenes/scenarios that they want the characters to be involved in instead of the ones written about them in the books lol

those are always good temps to go outside wearing shorts and tank tops. it's been nice, sunny and warm the last couple of days, but i saw the weather forecast and looks like we have some thunder & lightning showers happening the next couple of days. so much for this weekend Canada Day long weekend festivities. but if the ground is moist, then we can do fireworks later in the evening to close off the day since no worries on possible fires happening due to dry grass lol

if mosquitoes are after us, then that must mean our blood is sweeter than most lol your hubby's blood probably don't taste as good so they steer clear off him lol

i can only ever see those two as the best of friends. at least, that's the vibe i got off 'em both in the books and when i watched the movies. as for your hubby reading fanfics when Harry isn't Harry, i get it. i tend to write the characters very OOC coz...well, in as much as i like them in the books, the story is my vehicle that i'm driving so the characters can be a totally different personality, but still retain some of their essence, you know?

weather right now is...well, it's rainy, then sunny and hot, then windy with tornado warnings. i guess that's the kinda summer we'll be having this year. last year we had to deal with a lot of smoke due to forest fires, so it sucked to remain in the city, but hopefully this year, with this windy/rainy weather, we won't have to lol

i live in Canada so we have lakes here too, but i'm not a big lake person so i tend to stay away from lakes. besides, we get pesky mosquitoes here too so i'd rather not stay out in nature during the summer season lol but certain places in the country are mosquito-free, unfortunately, i don't live in those mosquito-free cities lol you live in Europe, you said, right? I'm not sure if you mentioned where exactly, but i'm thinking more eastern Europe? if not, then i'm sorry. i dunno why i thought you're from there.

Traveling during peak season is crazy expensive, not to mention busy! lol I am staying put this summer. I already went somewhere in April, so for now, I'm just staying in the city and maybe do a day trip or two, but nothing more than that.

true. at one point i was a huge Harry Potter fan and wrote tons and tons of fanfics centering on the two characters i shipped, but i wouldn't call myself obsessive and hardcore HP fans lol but i never got into shipping Draco/Harry like most other fans did though lol

i'll keep looking, and who knows, maybe HiDive will re-stream it so i can rewatch it again lol

I wasn't a BL fan at first, but a few yeas back (I think it was during the pandemic or maybe a bit before that lol) I started reading and watching BL-centric stories, and got sucked into it. I'm not a hardcore fan, but I do enjoy reading it over non-BL stuff lol

it's great to be busy doing something else outside of being on MAL lol i try to find things to do to kill time instead of watching anime. lately i'm reading a lot of manga (BL mostly and some isekai too).

It's kinda hard to explain, but here's the synopsis for the series here on MAL: Tamako Market. It's a nice slice-of-life series, and the characters are all adorable. I tried looking for the movie on Amazon, but it's not available in my area. But I am not losing hope! HiDive might re-stream it again or another anime streaming site might pick it up, like Netflix perhaps? who knows lol

I keep seeing Nana, but I can't seem to get interested in watching it. I did rewatch Tamako Market, and I wanted to rewatch Tamako Love Story, but it's not available on HiDive anymore, so now I'm looking for where it's streaming or if I can buy a Blu-Ray copy anywhere.
