Hey Everybody, very serious message from le Creator of RACE
Please read carefully

As I'm sure some of you have noticed, RACE hasn't been very active lately
Part of that is my fault, I haven't been able to give it my full attention while being busy with moving and work in real life
However I think a big part of it is the fact that so few members visit the club
I mean we have nearly 2000 members.... maybe 20 active? total?

For a long time i was thinking about shutting down race and starting a new club with some new ideas I have
taking all the things i learned from RACE and moving on
MAL has changed since I first joined, most of my original friends are super busy and rarely around
But RACE and mal are still important to me so I have a different plan
A few people helped me come up with the idea so this is what's going to happen.

We're purging RACE.
You won't be able to access it. We're going to close it for a few days
Everyone in the members list will be removed
All the threads deleted (almost)
Everything will be started over. We will start over with a smaller club and staff
I have a lot of cool ideas for what is going to happen.

For those of you that are wondering about the sports festival
It wasn't as active as we'd hoped so we closed it.
The sports fest was my way of seeing if race can still be active and it failed
So now we're purging.
When we open back up there will be a new and improved Sports Festival!
It will be the Grand Re-Opening of RACE

please come back if you still love race like i do and want to be active
This isnt meant to punish the people that are around, or even the ones that arent
This is my decision
I need a reason to get excited and motivated again and I think this is the best thing for RACE
We will be Re-Opening on August 1st

Hello Fabulous member of RACE!!
I'm really sorry to not be sending out individual messages to you all, but unfortunately I don't know all of you ... and im lazy x'D
BUT i made this Valentines Day Event in order to get the chance to tell people how much they mean to me :)
Every single person in RACE means so much to me, I'm so happy you joined the club even if you aren't active (though you should be :P)
It means so much that you've stuck with me even when the club died for a bit.
I never imagined that my club would get so big. When i first started it I was hoping to even get 10 people. 20 was beyond my wildest dreams xD Now I'm above 1600!! I opened it just because i had joined mal and seen cards and wanted to try.
I probably shouldn't have made the club as early as i did .... but now I am so glad that I did C: Thank you to everyone that has joined the club, it's been such a pleasure to me watching the club grow and seeing the new people join.
Especially thank you to the people that joined at the very beginning. I'm not giving you a special message because i dont have time but I know who you are and you mean the world to me <3

Ola dear staffmembers, this is to inform you about the editions and changes in the club for december... but... wait a minute.... this isn't only about december.... yes Lyfa went a little bit crazy and thought out a whole lot until our second anniversary date.
Do keep in mind I shall send out another NL for january and february as well thought, even if it's repeating a bit what this one says.

So this will be long *ahems* let's start.

First of all, tyvm all for being so active in the Element editions, especially on the Darkness one I got rly surprised, I thought allot cardmakers where busy and couldn't participate but god, I was like totally wrong there haha!XD
So tyvm, you make this "so called leader" (lol) very happy <33

Now december will obviously be the christmas month so allot editions will be christmas themed. In 2013 we had the theme "Reindeer, Christmas Tree and Santa", for this year I have some other themes in mind.
Also for december everyone's birthday edition shall still be included, what I do in january I'll write in the latter part of this NL, so first up the editions for december:

THERE ARE 2 CHRISTMAS SE, one for ppl with allot time and one for ppl with not that much time that still wish to participate, you can only join in 1 of the 2 of course, I thought of this so that ppl without many time can still join and ppl with allot time (like me for an example) can keep the edition open for all 3 christmas days :). I hope you all enjoy this idea ^^ An entire explenation of this is in the posts for the editions.

That's it for december and the christmas editions, I hope you all enjoy what I thought up for this christmas. From january until SCS's second anniversary which is on Feburary 16 I already annouced back then in october that there will be a Nostalgia theme.
What is the nostalgia theme exactly? We will repeat editions that where done in early 2013 when the club started.
I already picked the editions and added them to the list, including the theme for the second anniversary.
Also about the birthday editions. A staffmember had a very good idea to mix them all in 1 edition per month, I rly liked the idea... but then... someone else mentioned to me it might not be a good idea. And when I started thinking that was exactly true, I mean ppl would feel guilty for only making cards for friends etc... so they shall stay seperate, but I will fade out ppl who aren't active, if they still get active, of course I'll add them then. I hope you all understand this, birthday editions can be quite stressfull and personaly I was rly mad that some ppl left after getting a bday editions (this happened awfully allot...), anyways the birthday editions also have a fresh new name <3

Hi dear staffmembers it's time for our monthly update on the new cardeditions again, BUT I also have something else to announce....
I am a clubleader that doesn't mind if people are inactive or busy at all, you all know this. But due to the amount of staffmembers we're having some differculties as to with the amount of staffrequests and birthdayeditions this last one is rly troubling. What am I trying to say?... I won't kick anyone, oh no that goes against my will for this club. HOWEVER I'm gonna monitor the activeniss of ppl starting the november editions. What exactly am I gonna do?... eh good question still trying to think the idea out but probs gonna list who participated in editions or created solo ones etc etc. The result of this will be that when 2015 starts only the active ppl will have a birthday edition, however if you where active but couldn't be active for sometime you will also have 1. (I hope this sounds right?), same with the staffrequests, if you where to not do something for at least 2-3 months and you didn't do much before you will be made an officer and will have to post as a member instead, same thing if you where active and can't for a while you'll remain admin. I hope this all made sense, this is of course not to punish anyone but please count the number of staffmembers, it's to insane xD, besides in my opinion this is still a fair rule with allot freedom for everyone :). (tell me 1 club that allows 2-3 months xD). I think overall this rule this apply to most ppl but if you happen to see yourself as an officer in the LONG DISTANT future you know as to why.
This rule doesn't only go for cardmakers btw but also for gamemoderators, updaters and deliverers, their job might be easier thought hmm...

Ugh I'm glad I typed that, I always feel mean when taking measures but sometimes you just have to phew...

As for the editions remaining in october, they are:

Fall 2014 Anime SE - Still list for october 31 but will most definitly be moved to the first week of november.

Before writing about the november editions I also wanna announce that the Newsletter deliverer position is open again to, the lists are big and I wonder if any existing staffmembers maybe wanna switch or add this to their job, if not I will openly recruit ppl :) but ofc first asking existing ppl ^^


Now for the November editions. This entire month is dedicated to ELEMENT EDITIONS. They are quite some but I didn't wanted to skip any element at all... but don't fred at least I (Lyfa) will try participate in all Kill me alrdy XD
