Hey ho.

So you're watching Gintama that's great.

Well let me give you an advice.
Just for the information.

The first Episodes and the following first Episodes can be quite average.
I know that it can be for many people. So maybe for you as well.

But it will improve a lot afterwards.
So I hope you will keep on watching Gintama

Omg thank you, thank you for your review of Re:Creators

I find it sad to see people under the illusion that it's actually really deep philosophical goodness;
when it's just a bunch of random words strung together to give it the effect of sounding deep and philosophical...

Stories are portrayed well by using the COMBINATION of character actions, settings and dialogue
- Re:Creators is maddening because it's portrays its story just using dialogue, trying to spell it out for you.

It's as if the producers think people can't interpret it for themselves T.T

Fate/Apocrypha is an eyesore.

This bad fate series. This bad fate series. This bad fate series. This bad fate serie!

"The more you support shows like this, the more the industry thinks that they can get away with this utterly subpar garbage."
Thanks. Time to check out Inuyashiki.

Thank you for your review on Fate/A. I too am a huge fan of the Fate series, being a fan of the VN myself, and I've heard nothing but terrible things about the anime from my fellow Fate friends. I haven't watched it yet because I've been waiting for Netflix to release the first half. But after reading your review, I have to say I really don't think I'm going to attempt watching it. So thank you for saving me the time, I'd rather not have to suffer through a terrible Fate adaptation again.

Well I know I didn't expect much from Apocrypha, but god damn I didn't expect it to be THAT bad. Seems like literal tons of pandering to newer generations, but then again it's what we've come to expect from A-1

Great reviews!

nice review on fate apocrypha and re:creators (the show where Meteora talks for 22 episodes)

Gigamecha12 Sep 3, 2017 8:13 PM
Oh, appreciate the correction! Though it doesn't change the fact that it felt excruciatingly long and bland. You have to admit that for anyone who knows anything about Fate, it's an extremely dull way of explaining the Grail War.

Kind of just glazed through your review. Good stuff my lad, good stuff. I'm honestly surprised ya didn't talk about the piss pour lighting choices in every sequence set at night. It's so damn hard to see anything at all! Though to be honest, other then a few wonky scenes and some disorienting cutting choices, I think you were a bit off base with your criticism. Maybe downsize it and keep it to the point? OH also good eye on realizing the lack of time dedicated to flesh out our cast, however I think you comparing it to Fate/zero's 45 minute info dump aint good. Fate/Zero was great, but there was a much better way to give us the rundown on our setting and characters then a 10-15 minute sequence of 2 characters walking in circles around one guy.

Souta's backstory with the girl ties to the whole idea, reasons and reactions behind creation given it is the gateway for Altair's origin. Re:Creators seems to be a show effectively using its premise to present a cast that is surprisingly interesting in its own right, but doubles as commentary on the nature and value of creation/fiction in general (the Blitz Talker conversation in the latest episode did a supreme job of both, for example).
Most of the cast is interesting by conception. There are those who have to grapple with the disparities between their realities and our realities, like Mamika and Alicetaria, and many that also struggle with the idea that they and their worlds are fictional, in markedly different ways. Kanoya is an interesting hypothetical, illustrating what perhaps could’ve happened to Eva’s Shinji if he just got completely out of his situation. The only ones lacking that proper context are probably Magane and Selesia for being more bland characters to be there for plot purposes, but their backdrops are sensical. At the very least, the show establishes things in a kind of slow build way overtime by comparison to Apocrypha. Animation is also better. And there are moments where it seems more tongue in cheek, like the recap episode

The show's talky, but what I find more irksome than that is actually the nitty-gritty of the plot. The characters tend to talk around key plot points with a lot of vague babble, especially Meteora. How Altair's prescence dooms the world isn't that well explained, and it at times even seems like the characters take random conjecture as fact in order to move the story forward.

I get your Apocrypha complaints but what'cha have against Re:Creators?

It's hardly trainwrecking, if anything it's quite deliberate in its ideas and exploring the general nature of fictional content, those involved in its creation, and the reactions of both fans and creations to the specific circumstances. Episode 17-18's deal with Blitz and his creator was an excellent example of such. The worst I can say is that it overtells thanks to Meteora but that only doesn't make it bad.
