Welcome to my anime list!

Welcome to my anime list!

My name is Nathaniel Byers, I'm a 28 year old musician and composer. I work as a music leader/choir director at my church and also serve as a private piano instructor. As far as personal anime preferences go, I love Slice of Life, School, Shoujo manga/anime and romantic comedy the most, but I'm sold for anything with a great story!

I take my time with anime, looking to savor the experience. It's such a beautiful medium for storytelling, to be treasured and meaningfully shared with others. And the best means of enjoyment for me is qualitative as opposed to quantitative.

Outside of anime, I enjoy spending time with my wife, playing video games, board games, taking walks, watching college basketball, playing piano, singing with my local community choirs and writing music. Life is busy, and I'm thankful for the calming retreat of anime in between other commitments.

I hope you stop by! I look forward to the the opportunity to make new friends, enjoy mutually shared interests, and delve into anime recommendations as shared by others.

Ahoy! Thanks for accepting my friend req and nice to meet you! :) FFVII is a such masterpiece! Are you playing the original or the remake version? I personally prefer the remake, but the original has its own charm for sure. I'm so excited for the second part of the remake that comes out next month! When it comes to other JRPG or RPG recommendations, I would highly recommend Persona series for you! Persona 5 is my all time favourite game and the other titles in the same series are great too! Persona games tend to do everything really well, I especially love the big variety of different characters and the amazing music used.

Keep up writing more great reviews, I'll definitely check them out in the future :)

Really enjoyed your review on Angel Beats! Beautifully shows that anime isn't just a thing for kids, like many people say. It has the power of changing people. I personally love it too <3

I highly recommend it. The first 14 episodes I would give an 11/10; absolutely mind-blowing. I was mildly disappointed with episodes 17-21, because they kind of felt inconsistent with the rest of the story line, but it really brings things back together well in 22-25. Probably my favorite anime I've seen so far.

Hey, just wanted to say that you wrote a very relatable review of Nodame Cantabile, expressing almost exactly what I feel about it after the first few episodes ~ Maybe I'd rate it a bit higher myself, assuming the characters can possibly change their ways :D haha ~ even if at least they potentially can. (I like Lovely Complex too, so that sort of depth of characters unfortunately seems missing in Nodame Cantabile so far, I will continue watching it tho; and btw speaking of LovCom, its soundtrack is pretty awesome too, especially World's End). You may try watching Planetes and True Tears, I think, you may like them. Anyway~
And yeah, keep writing review, I think I will be happy reading more from you.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
