Well... It is possible that other animes took the concepts/and was inspired by Little Busters. The visual novel (orignal material) was originally from 2007, so it took 5 years for an anime to be adapted from it. It only took 2 years for Clannad's anime adaption. Kanon getting a remake of the original series was an exception.

...but I personally think Little Busters and it's storyline stands out a lot more than all Jun Maeda's other works. With the exception that Angel beat's concept is similar to Little Busters, considering that Angel Beats was created a few years after Little Busters.

...and please don't push your definition of what "originality" is onto me. This is my definition of originality in it's genre. People seem to usually attack the genre they dislike the most and call the shows in that category "unoriginal" because of the biggest similarity that you could obviously notice when you start watching.

Even though the wimpy leads are all the same, how they develop goes in completely different directions. You are hating on it too much that you aren't noticing the important differences.

Same goes for repetitive "the group of 4 girl's slice-of-life" animes, Various gundam-type related animes, and the so-called 'typical' mahou shoujo-type animes. They all have at least some kind of originality that differentiates from one another in it's categories.

What I'm trying to tell you is that it's an existing disorder. You commented in one of the threads, and made yourself sound as if you thought the disorder was something made up in fantasy. That's all I wanted to clarify to you.

I did not point out anything about relating the disorder to it's story nor concept. I just wanted to say that it's a real disorder, and that it's rare for an anime character to have this disorder portrayed. That's why it wouldn't be surprising that there would be people out there who doesn't know about this disorder's existence.

...but it seems you know what it is, that means my job is done.

Narcolepsy is a real type of sleeping disorder, but it's rare/uncommon.
You make it sound as if it was made up disease.

Don't you think it's rare to see a anime character with narcolepsy?
This is the first time I've seen a character having this disorder.

Recommendation Club Newsletter~Holiday Edition

As we enter into one of the busiest times of the year, we here at the Recommendation Club would like to extend our wishes for each and every one of you to have a wonderful holiday season!

Since the September newsletter, our club has gained many new members, and seen the return of old ones. We would like to keep the momentum going, and with our member list now at 3,111, that should be no problem at all! ^_^.

We would like all of our members, old and new, to help keep this an active, and fun club, a place to Chat and to seek out recommendations in our General anime and General Manga thread as well as the specific anime genre threads, such as Drama and Romance and Sci-fi and many others as well.

It’s a great place to make new friends, or renew past friendships, and we urge all of our members to drop by, and post in the various threads and comment section, as well as share you expertise with other members.

Recommendation Club
Become an Expert Now

1. What is an Anime Expert?
An Anime Expert is mainly an user that is willing to help us by recommending stuff. Most of them are specialized in some genres, while a few are the general experts type.

2. How do I help?
People around this club normally create their own thread to ask for recommendation or ask in the comments. If you are online and notice their comments/posts, you can give them suggestion on what to watch.

3. What do I get?
First of all, every Expert will receive a special custom made expert card. It can also help you get limited edition cards and so on. Your name will be featured in a thread and there will be a link to that thread on the layout. You can be notified faster about some club changes and content that will be implemented at a later date.

Complete this form to become an Expert:

Genres you want to be expert in: (genres you normally watch and are most familiar with)

News and Request for Help

Our club is almost one year old and we'll be most likely celebrating it with lots of specials and contests, so you might wanna check out the club at least once every few days as something new might appear in the horizon. :D

We noticed that while the member count keeps growing by day, we aren't exactly as active as we should be. It would be nice to see more and more people chatting in the comments or in the chat thread. I'd like to mention that a chat thread in our club gets closed after a comment or so is made on page 50. I'd like to get this one closed so we can start one anew in our next club year. Thanks in advance.

I'd also be glad if you introduced yourself in our special threads or warmly welcome our new members that have posted there. Also, if you have any trouble deciding what anime you want to watch or if you want to help others, take a look at the recommendation thread and post there.

If anyone is willing to make member cards, just post the templates in this thread or pm them to me. If you have made some other kind of graphic for the club you can post it in the comments or, again, pm it to me.
