Ask in this thread for recommendations in the Sci-Fi, and/or Cyberpunk genres.

I've not watched anything yet in this genre but it seems many folks speak highly of "Legend of the Galactic Heroes"

I thought I would ask, could anyone recommend or know of any titles : Movie / OVA's from the 80's or early 90's. Been looking for a particular one I watched when I was really young, all I know is there was a shower scene, yeah thats the one thing I remember from it! sorry that's a little vague, but if anyone has any idea I would appreciate it.

No, it's much earlier than Eva, defiantly 80's, i think it had some kind of underground resistance thing in it as well, it was like 15 years ago i watched this so not completely sure.

Texhnolyze - it's odd and hard to discribe; not for everyone, but a 10/10 for me.

I'm quite surprised this is still on the first page... Whatever. I'll recommend Macross Frontier. Or... The earlier Macross series that I never watched. If you like space, mechs, and Japanese music you're going to like this, as it puts them all together at once.

I highly recommend Dennou Coil, Eureka Seven, Last Exile, and .Xam'd: Lost Memories

Argento Soma was pretty good too.

For movies check out King of Thorn and Welcome to the Space Show.
