I recently read one of your reviews and liked it. Since You hadn't been active on MAL for months now, I thought that you might have left the site. It was just my way to know if you were active anymore or not. Sorry if i bothered you.
You have watched a lot of seemingly obscure shows. That's cool.
The Mermaid and... (manga oneshot by Kuze Gaku)
- rating 6 (would be closer to 7.5 or 8 if it were extended to a full series, but even for a one-shot, it was short... definitely had a lot of potential, but for what it was, it still was really good with a nice twist at the end)
The Shocking Reality Of A Loan Shark Collecting Money (short manga by Pageratta)
- rating 6 (super cute and wholesome, but overall, nothing I'd read over and over again)
That Time I Rented A Little Sister (short manga by Pageratta)
- rating 6 (another one that's super sweet with an interesting twist at the end, but with as nice as it was, it's something I wouldn't read over and over)
Save Me (webtoon by 1230)
- rating 7 (Lezhin has a really good trailer for it on YouTube, but I'm glad that I forgot all about the contents by time I got into it. There's a really good twist in this one towards the end, and I honestly liked the twisted mentality of one of the characters. It was even more nice, though, going in blind)
Dogma (webtoon by Kemi Jang) (was taken off Lezhin before I could finish, but I plan to pick back up)
- rating 8 (with what I read, I was highly impressed with the characters, story, and the setting - even the artwork was stunning)
Hashihime Of Old Book Town (v-novel, I know... but I wanted to include)
- rating 8 (a surprisingly existential story about a self-centered man who wants to be an author. There's more to it than that, but I'll keep it brief)
Ballet Mécanique (horror one-shot about a maid who discovers that the lady of the household is a robot, possibly by Senno Knife or Nekoi from Psydoll...)
- rating 7 (for the artwork and my memories of loving the short story back when I had the translation)
Story time for Ballet Mécanique:
So this is the most obscure manga I've come across, and one of the few I've ever seen that comes as big as a magazine but with fewer pages.
The cover says Tyrell Corporation, which I found out was the publishing company Tyrellsha who published a lot of Senno Knife's work. Honestly, the artwork looks a lot closer to his, too, although there's only few bits of English on the actual manga.
I also know that I got this manga at the time I got my only Psydoll cd, and I used to have papers that were the English translation. That's been lost to time, and I cannot find mention of this manga, but the cover of this manga IS on the front of a Tokyo CYBERPUNK '07 magazine which includes bands such as Aural Vampire and Psydoll.
In the back, some of the only English mentions that it was published in 2003 December.
