9 - mostly amazing with some minor flaws, well rounded and memorable
8 - well written and distinctive, not an all-time favorite but still high quality
7 - something i might've liked a lot more if it wasn't held back by significant issues
6 - boring or hollow overall but shows some merit if deconstructed
5 - same as 6 but even less engaging, will probably forget/already forgot most of it
4 - threshold between average and poor quality, worse than mediocre
3 - awful across the board, maybe one or two little details that aren't THAT bad
2 - reserved for anime that genuinely disgusted me or gave me a headache
