IS novel has been published by Media Factory since May 2009 and a manga adapation has been serialized in Comic Alive since May 2010.

Synopsis:
Japan engineered an armed powered exoskeleton "Infinite Stratos" (IS) and it became the mainstream of weapons. Since only women can operate IS, women dominate the society over men. Orimura Ichika is a 15 year old boy and accidentally touches an IS placed in the IS pilot training school. He is found to be the only man who can operate IS and forced to enter the training school. Ichika's busy school life surrounded by girls has begun.

I been reading plot/chara-summary spoilers on this series for a while now. From what I read, it sounds promising from how I look at it. Cant wait til it airs next month.

I'll watch this as long as the harem parts don't get annoying, and the mecha parts own.

How many episodes do you think this show will have if the writer stops writing?

13 Episode like most LN Adaptations.

And I am pretty excited about this series. To be honest, to see MF Bunko J get this as their adaptation is really an attempt to see how well does mecha musume and harem mix. This series has the advantage of being on cable channels rather then PPV

Look - we can keep the harem, just as long as I get some well animated mecha, then I don't give a fuck.
It needs to be frequent, and fucking awesome.
For example, his accelerating rapidly then a quick slow mo to hip ripping someone to shreds.
Sure he's shy and all, but that can be changed if give him a battle personality. Fuck yeah.

I know where this is going...
I'll check it out anyway since I'm caught in the middle of a mecha phase.

Does anyone who has read the novels rate the action scenes in the novel?

Since people have been wondering, and since I've read the novels (well only 3/5 currently), I shall try my best to address some questions.

First, I suppose it seems like an average harem show, but with some mecha thrown in. And yeah, the mechas are kinda cool (but open cockpits? well apparently they have barriers or something so it's safe?) and there are quite alot of action scenes ( already 2 in the first novel, generally quite long) which are quite detailed and from what I've seen from the trailers, seem to be quite nicely executed.

Mechas have names and are upgraded, and there are about 5 female leads currently (most are stereotypes eg. tsundere, token loli, ojousama but there is a reverse trap that interests me the most)

Oh and just to clarify, the male lead isn't spineless (not like er...I forgot his name...that guy in Omamori Himari.....or Shinji in Evangelion)....rather he is more of the normal during school time, quite badass during battles kind of lead( think Akuto from Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou...but less GAR) Didn't disappoint me that's for sure (I can't tolerate spineless male leads either).

Overall it's smack in the middle of harem and mecha, not that it's a bad thing though...definitely my cup of tea. Looking forward to it...and btw does anybody know the studio producing it? I've personally never really heard of it.

And yeah, the writer is ill now, and may stop writing (oh noes) so hope he gets better.
