Key released a demo version of the visual novel in April 2018 before releasing the complete game in June of that year. The game was ported to iOS and Android platforms in December 2018 and to Nintendo Switch in June 2019. Visual Arts published the game in English on Steam last February.

An updated version titled Summer Pockets: Reflection Blue featuring new routes and content was released in June 2020. Software company Prototype published the game on Nintendo Switch in July of the same month. The smartphone version on iOS and Android devices were subsequently updated to include the new content.

Based on the original concept by Jun Maeda (Angel Beats!, Clannad), Kai (Harmonia, Rewrite: Cradles Tale) directed the visual novel. Kai, Hasama (Tokyo Babel), and Yuu Niijima (Hatsuyuki Sakura) penned the scenarios.

Na-Ga (Little Busters!), Tsubasu Izumi (Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka), Yuunon Nagayama (Hatsukoi*Syndrome), and Humuyun (Lunaria: Virtualized Moonchild) are credited for the original character design.

oh, come on! Why cant Kyoani adapt this instead of Free or euphonium? at this point I might try the VN instead if we dont recieve a proper trailer because feel is hit or miss.

@ZoeEbe Logically, it most likely will be the case. The only change they made in the cast was for Kamome because her previous voice actress (Tomomi Mineuchi) has retired.

Yes!!! Please, someone tell me that Tanaka Aimi will still be the voice of Umi
That's all I want.
I don't see Shiki. What happened? Will they adapt the original SamaPoke and not the RB?
Well, we still have to wait for more news

I hope for 24-26 episodes to air.

@Inorichi
Main Cast VAs were announced, so it’s just logic consequences that RB routes aren’t here. Shiki literally gets introduced right at the start too, so…

I hope there will be a truly satisfying romantic ending.

it will be 3 years in production in 2025 and RB routes weren’t even included. talk about disappointment

@Inorichi Well, back in the day they were the kings of VN adaptations, not to mention romance. Either way, I'm glad this adaptation is still around. There was nothing from them other than an announcement for several years.
