'Uta no☆Prince-sama♪: Maji Love' New Movie 'Quartet Night-hen' Announced
The official website of the Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love anime movie announced a new movie on Sunday subtitled Quartet Night-hen (Quartet Night Chapter). The movie will depict the live performances by the Quartet Night idol group. The website also revealed a teaser visual (pictured).Quartet Night-hen marks the second installment in the new Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love movie series announced in March 2021. The first installment, Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Movie: Maji Love ST☆RISH Tours, opened in Japan in September 2022, grossing over 2.4 billion yen (approximately US$16.8 million) at the domestic box office.
Quartet Night
Reiji Kotobuki: Shoutarou Morikubo (B-Project: Kodou*Ambitious)
Ranmaru Kurosaki: Tatsuhisa Suzuki (Kengan Ashura)
Ai Mikaze: Shouta Aoi (Vazzrock The Animation)
Camus: Tomoaki Maeno (Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru)
Music composer Noriyasu Agematsu (Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love Legend Star) and media company Broccoli are credited for the original work. Music production group Elements Garden (Dance with Devils) is returning to compose the music. A-1 Pictures is producing the film, with Shochiku in charge of distribution.
A-1 Pictures adapted Broccoli's otome game into four anime seasons in Summer 2011, Spring 2013, Spring 2015, and Fall 2016—each airing in 13 episodes. The second season's seventh home video release included a special episode in December 2013.
Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love Kingdom, the first anime movie in the franchise, premiered in Japan in June 2019, grossing over 1.82 billion yen (approximately US$16.6 million).
Sentai Filmworks licensed all four anime seasons in North America and released the latest season on home video in April 2018.
