New 'Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love' Film Series Announced

The official website of the Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love anime film announced a new film series on Saturday. The first installment, Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love ST☆RISH Tours, will premiere in 2022. The film, labeled as a completely original work, will depict the live performances by the ST☆RISH idol group. The website also revealed a teaser visual (pictured).

Music composer Noriyasu Agematsu (Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love Legend Star) and media company Broccoli are credited for the original work. Music production group Elements Garden (Dance with Devils) is returning to compose the music. A-1 Pictures is producing the film, with Shochiku in charge of distribution.

A-1 Pictures adapted Broccoli's otome game into four anime seasons in Summer 2011, Spring 2013, Spring 2015, and Fall 2016—each running for 13 episodes. The second season's seventh home video release bundled a special episode in December 2013. Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love Kingdom, the first anime film in the franchise, opened in Japan in June 2019, grossing over 1.82 billion yen (approximately US$16.6 million).

Sentai Filmworks licensed all four anime seasons in North America and released the latest season on home video in April 2018.

Starish, QN and Heavens are getting 3 separate movies! It would be cool otherwise for all of them to have their own movie

Thanks for telling me! It'll be nice to be able to watch the groups independently since in most of the seasons the focus is split between the groups ^^
