'Majo to Yajuu' Announces Additional Cast, Staff

The official website for the Majo to Yajuu (The Witch and the Beast) television anime series announced additional cast, staff, and a key visual (pictured) on Monday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on TBS and BS11 in January 2024.

Takayuki Hamana (Majutsushi Orphen Hagure Tabi) is directing the anime at Yokohama Animation Lab. Hiroya Iijima (Jikan no Shihaisha) is designing the characters.

The anime adapts Kousuke Satake's fantasy manga, which started serialization in Young Magazine the 3rd in November 2016. Kodansha published the tenth volume on August 19 last year.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in October 2019. The tenth volume went on sale on February 28.

@3inPunisher the studio's highest rated show (7.3!!) here is an AI-generated, low budget isekai harem comedy. the second-highest ranked show is low budget edgelord garbage. neither are getting a season 2, and everything else is well below a 7 lmao

also lol not that the series was really solely his fault, but the series composition is by the guy who did arguably the worst adaptation of any manga in the last 10 years. his only other credits are on things like Hajime no Gal. truly peak fiction

D-list show, animated by a D-list studio, staffed by D-list people, based on D-list source material. the only person attached to anything good here is the person doing "sub character design." the curse of having standards is the need to criticize things

this studio has never made a single good show and none of these staff members have ever worked on a good show. the source material also sucks and isn't even finished, not that this would get a season 2 anyway. what a waste of everyone's time.
