'Ishura' Reveals Production Staff, Additional Cast, Second Teaser Promo, Winter 2024 Premiere

The Ishura presentation at the Dengeki Bunko 30th Summer Festival Online 2023 event revealed the production staff, additional cast, second teaser visual (pictured), and a second teaser promotional video for the television anime on Sunday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2024 and will exclusively stream worldwide on Disney+.

Kouichi Yamadera (Dragon Ball Super) is joining the cast as Shark Otogi.

Ishura adapts Keiso's action fantasy light novel, which originally began on the Kakuyomu website in June 2017, followed by Shousetsuka ni Narou the following month. Kadokawa began publishing the series with illustrations by Kureta under its Dengeki no Shin Bungei label in September 2019. The seventh volume shipped on February 17.

A manga adaptation by Meguri began serializing in Monthly Shounen Magazine in March 2021. Kodansha released the second volume in December 2021.

Yen Press licensed the light novel in English in September 2021 and shipped the third volume on March 17. The fourth volume is scheduled to go on sale on July 18.

I think there is enough material since one volume is very thick.

Well, I dropped this LN in the second chapter of Volume 1 because I struggled to understand what is going on in the LN. Not sure if the writing is messy or bad translation from Yen Press. :/

In the first chapter, I can only remember some samurai with superpower saving a weak girl…… Completely lost in the second chapter. But it looks very battle-shounen~

Than I hope for 20+ episodes, thank you.
