'City Hunter Movie: Tenshi no Namida' Reveals Additional Cast, Staff, Trailer

The official website of the City Hunter: Tenshi no Namida (City Hunter The Movie: Angel Dust) movie revealed on Tuesday additional cast, staff, opening theme, key visual (pictured) and a trailer. The movie is scheduled to open in theaters on September 8.

TM NETWORK performs the opening theme "Whatever Comes," which is previewed in the trailer below.

Kenji Kodama (City Hunter) is credited as the chief director and Yasuyuki Mutou (Kidou Senshi Gundam: Senkou no Hathaway) is penning the screenplay. The movie is produced by Sunrise and The Answer Studio.

The anime series is based on Tsukasa Hojo's comedy detective manga which serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump magazine from February 1985 to November 1991. The manga inspired four TV anime, two OVAs, four anime films, three specials, and four anime films.

City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes, the latest anime movie produced by Sunrise, premiered in February 2019, grossing over 1.5 billion yen at the box-office.
