Yoshioka began serializing the romantic comedy manga on the Comic Days website in September 2018. Kodansha shipped the seventh volume on August 5, with the ninth volume scheduled to release on January 23.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in June 2020 and published it exclusively on the BookWalker website. The sixth volume was released on May 31.

Synopsis
Akemitsu Akegami was always told by his father that "no one can live alone"...but he's sure determined. After all, his father sure wasn't saying it with the best intentions, and Akemitsu has no desire to become like that creep. But when a chance encounter with a young woman leaves him with thoughts that are all too impure, he decides to do what he must—become a Buddhist monk and renounce worldly ways. But the temple he decides to devote himself to...is full of women? And that same young woman is there, too?? What's a guy to do? (Source: Kodansha USA)

It usually depends on the sales of physical copies and the relevance of digital ones, I think.
from what i seen in terms of sales amagami san chi doing pretty good even after 79 chapters
Well, if it's popular, I think it's their turn. This development has already been in Slime Isekai-like LN.

They just give the green light to any genres and sub-genres as long as they have at least some hype. I even wonder what previously rare things will get adaptation in the near future. It seems that in the 20s we have already seen everything.

This is peak 2001 harem anime done 22 years later, looks like harem anime is also back just like the romance genre.

Lol, usually harem protags don't get bitches because of being shy or awkward, but this dude is actively going out of his way to get no bitches. Sounds like it could be a dumb fun watch.

VA choice for the MC is kind of  a miss though, the voice def doesn't match how the character looks.

Really not a fan of the voice actor choice for Akagami. Sounds too old.

Well, Japanese Buddhist monks can drink booze, have a romantic relationship with women, and eat meat. I think we will see at least one of the three.

From an author of Grand Blue. :O
If it gonna give similar vibes, then definitely a must watch, especially since art looks very similar.
It is from the artist, the author is a different person, so the humor should be inferior and character designes are already pretty different from the manga anyway.

Harem anime okay cool

But why the mc sounds older than he looks, he sounds old enough to be their father

This MC is actually trying his best to be unfuckable forever lol
This sounds like a description of the behavior of any classic harem MC from the 00s.

Damn, take this illustration out of context and tell me what this manga could be about lol.
This shit is something else man lol

PV looks okay, manga's decent so as long as they don't mess up the adaptation it should be a decent watch.
