'Blue Lock' Announces Supporting Cast
The official website of the Blue Lock television anime announced three additional cast members on Friday. The anime is scheduled to air on October 9 at 1:30 a.m. on TV Asahi's NUMAnimation programming block, followed by BS Asahi and AT-X.Cast
Rin Itoshi: Kouki Uchiyama (Haikyuu!!)
Juubee Aryuu: Katsuyuki Konishi (Kimetsu no Yaiba)
Aoshi Tokimitsu: Shinnosuke Tachibana (Kamisama Hajimemashita)
Tetsuaki Watanabe (Mahoujin Guruguru (2017) assistant director) is helming the anime at 8bit. Taku Kishimoto (Haikyuu!!) is handling the series composition and penning the script. Yuu Shindou (Macross Δ), Kenji Tanabe (Binbougami ga!), Kento Toya (Nanatsu no Taizai: Imashime no Fukkatsu), and Sawako Takagi (Jashin-chan Dropkick art director) are designing the characters. Jun Murayama (Re-Main ending theme arrangement) is composing the music.
The anime adapts Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yuusuke Nomura's soccer manga which began serializing in Weekly Shounen Magazine in August 2018. Kodansha published the 20th volume on July 15, with the 21th volume scheduled to be released on October 17.
