Adult Swim Announces 'C Danchi' Original Anime

Adult Swim announced an original horror anime titled C Danchi (Housing Complex C) on Thursday. The programming block also revealed the main staff, a teaser visual (pictured), and teaser promotional video.

Yuuji Nara is helming the anime at animation studio Akatsuki (Irodorimidori), with amphibian credited for the original concept and script. The announcement is part of Toonami's 25th anniversary celebration.

Jason DeMarco, creative director of Toonami and senior vice president of action and anime for Warner Bros. Animation, is serving as the executive producer for Housing Complex C. Production I.G USA's president Maki Terashima-Furuta (FLCL Progressive, Kaizoku Oujo) is credited as the producer.

Synopsis
"Housing Complex C" centers around Kimi, who lives in a small, low-cost housing complex located in the seaside town of Kurosaki. Trouble seems to follow her wherever she goes, and horrific incidents begin to occur. Is an ancient evil stalking the residents of Housing Complex C? (Source: Variety, edited)

hoping it will be good but I'm still hesitant on adult swim being involved in producing anime Fena was rushed and from what I heard they have been milking FLCL dry

First off, Happy 25 to Toonami! I wouldn't have been into anime if it weren't for them

As for this, it's been a while since I've seen a good non-gag horror series, so I'm looking forward to seeing this and hoping for the best

Teaser has a lot of blood, one of the traditional edgy ones, I assume. I will probably not watch it, but it has been quite long since they did this kind of horror. Maybe horror fans may find it appealing.
