'Blue Thermal' Anime Movie Announces Additional Cast [Update 12/23]

The official website of the Blue Thermal anime movie announced ten additional cast members on Wednesday (pictured above). The movie adaptation of Kana Ozawa's aviation-themed manga will open in theaters in Japan on March 4, 2022.

Yukari Muroi: Haruka Shiraishi (Golden Kamuy)
Ayako Maki: You Taichi (Princess Principal)
Eita Narihara: Ayumu Murase (Bishounen Tanteidan)
Ryouhei Nanba: Makoto Furukawa (Kyuuketsuki Sugu Shinu)
Kaoru Mochida: Rie Takahashi (Isekai Cheat Magician)
Harukaze Aihara: Taku Yashiro (Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou Desu)
Kaede Hatori: Kengo Kawanishi (Dr. Stone)
Aonagi University's Aviation Department Director: Minori Terada (Tenkuu no Shiro Laputa)

Piano rock band SHE'S (Angolmois: Genkou Kassenki) is performing the theme song and insert song "Blue Thermal" and "Beautiful Bird," respectively.

Actress Mayu Hotta (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen - Mini live-action drama) is starring as the female protagonist Tamaki Tsuru. Voice actors Nobunaga Shimazaki (Ano Natsu de Matteru) and Junya Enoki (Jujutsu Kaisen) are playing Jun Kuramochi and Daisuke Soraichi, respectively.

Masaki Tachibana (Barakamon) is directing the movie at Telecom Animation Film, and also penning the script with Natsuko Takahashi (Tokyo Magnitude 8.0). Film production company Toei is distributing the movie.

Ozawa drew the manga in Monthly Comic@Bunch magazine between April 2015 and November 2017. Shinchosha published the fifth and final volume in February 2018.

I am excited for this movie. aviation is a interesting themes (the last anime I saw say about aviation drifting dragon was also interesting)
Staff looks solid too. Plus manga looks short so probably with adapt the entire thing in the movie
