Nagabe's Totsukuni no Shoujo (The Girl From the Other Side: Siúil, a Rún) manga will end on March 5 after a five and half years run in Monthly Comic Garden, according to the series' official Twitter on Friday.

Synopsis
Long ago, there was a god of light and a god of darkness. While those devoted to the god of light experienced happiness and good fortune, the god of darkness would play tricks on the people and steal their joy. And so, as the legend goes, the god of light decided to punish him by turning him into a monster. Enraged by this, the god of darkness wielded his punishment as a curse in order to inflict suffering upon others. Because of his actions, he was banished to the Outside, where he and his monstrous children are to remain for eternity, while those from the Inside must never come in contact with someone from the Outside, lest they be cursed with a hideous form.

A little girl named Shiva, an Insider, is found by an Outsider she comes to know as Sensei. Though they cannot touch, Sensei cares for Shiva as best he can, and together they live a moderately happy life. But soon, Shiva not only finds herself in danger from the Outside, but from her own kind as well. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Nagabe began serializing the fantasy supernatural manga in Monthly Comic Garden in September 2015. Mag Garden shipped the tenth volume on September 10. Wit Studio produced a ten-minute original video animation in September 2019.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English in June 2016 and began publishing it in January 2017. The tenth volume is scheduled to be released on April 13. The manga has also been published in multiple foreign languages, including French, Polish, and Spanish.

Totsukuni no Shoujo was nominated for the Best Comic award at the 45th Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d'Angoulême in 2018.

All good things come to an end. The manga has been wonderful so far, hopefully ending is as good!

I've been following this series for awhile now. I'll be sad to see it go, but it did feel like it was approaching an ending.

Good news!

Hope mangaka's next series will be as good as this one.

I have all of the manga released in English up to the latest volume (Vol. 9). 10 will come out sometime this year and 11 will be the ending volume.

I highly recommend it (and Nagabe's other works, he's a literal genius). I'm both sad and excited to see it end, but I doubt it will be a happy one, so be warned when getting into this.

Seems like a good story. Must be sad for fans to see it go.

I watched 10 mins adaptation before. It was so good. I hope this manga gets full adaptation by same studio.

Yeah, this was announced a little while ago. It's been a really enjoyable read. Can't wait for the conclusion.

All good things must end at some point. I just hope this means Wit Studio will announce a full adaptation to give the manga one last boost in sales. The 10 min short was nice but a full adaptation would be amazing. Looks a bit unlikely now that it is finishing so soon though, but a man can wish.

That's a good sign. I started reading this a couple years back when our local library wasn't closed (no, it wasn't closed at the time for the obvious reason you're thinking of right now), and I've been meaning to continue reading again for a while now. Even considered buying the physical volumes once I knew for sure how many volumes there would be. This manga is such an intriguing fairy tale and the art is so zetta beautiful ♥

Oh that's nice to hear, maybe I'll get to finish the manga then
I'm still stuck at chapter 40 for now since it's impossible to find the rest online

Can't wait to read last volume once I get my hands on it.
