Light Novel 'Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo' Gets TV Anime

Publisher Shufunotomo announced a television anime adaptation of Shachi Sogano's Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo (A Harem in a Fantasy World Labyrinth) light novel on Saturday.

Synopsis
Struggling with life and society, high school student Michio Kaga wanders about the Internet and lands on an odd website. The website, featuring a number of questions and a point based system, allows one to create skills and abilities for a character. Upon completing his character, Kaga was transported to a game-like fantasy world and reborn as a strong man who can claim idol-level girls. Thus begins the cheat and harem legend of a reborn man!

Sogano began writing the adventure fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website under the original title Isekai Meikyuu de Dorei Harem wo (Slave Harem in a Fantasy World Labyrinth) in April 2011. Shufunotomo began printing the series through its Hero Bunko imprint the following December, featuring illustrations by Douji Shiki (Full Metal Panic!). The 11th volume will ship on December 28. The light novel has a cumulative 1.8 million copies of its volumes in print.

Hyouju Issei (Seireitsukai no Blade Dance, MM manga) began drawing a manga adaptation in Monthly Shounen Ace magazine in in April 2017. Kadokawa released the sixth volume on August 26.

If this anime wants to be popular or has many members, then we anime lovers suggest that the parties of this anime make an interesting storyline and good quality, especially the main characters, namely men must be perfect (handsome, smart, cool, and strong (action genre) ) because on average the problems of those anime lovers are the main characters, they will be happy and like watching if the main character of the anime is perfect (no boredom) like the character Levi Ackerman from the anime Attack On Titan even though the character is a companion. The main points in this anime must be perfect in order to be popular and successful.

Before y'all start getting at me and telling me not to immediately judge something just cuz it's following trends, I encourage you to read the reviews for this light novel's manga adaptation and try to convince me that this won't be another generic isekai to add to the ridiculously large cesspool. Yes this series has a lot of the "trends" in it. But it didn't follow them (well, it did but the trends it follows are not the ones you seem to be thinking of) - it helped establish them in the first place. It was also one of the first series to get released officially that was originally published on Shousetsuka ni Narou, and the series that gave the sales that enabled its publishing label to get itself properly established.

Honestly the time for this series to have gotten an anime adaptation was about 7 years ago. Back then it would have been seen as innovative in the ways that it was. Nowadays it will just be seen as a copy of the things that took inspiration (directly or indirectly) from it. So I'm genuinely surprised that they are doing this now of all times. Maybe it's because the light novel is reaching the end of the story? But that would indicate that they want to adapt the whole series... which is not going to happen without making one of the biggest messes of any adaptation in history.

I mean, this story did it before Shield Hero or those other series even existed, so it seems like out of that list, Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo would be the trend starter.

should have gone for a hentai adaptation instead of anime coz that's literally the plot of the series, if you take those out of the series its simply uninteresting it simply doesn't even have a plot to begin with.

Looking forward to the anime adaptation.

Hoping it would get adapted by a good studio and maintains the slow, Slice of Life pace.

The manga adaptation of this light novel is very good. The art of this manga is great.

It's an ecchi, Slice of Life manga that takes itself very seriously and also a competent isekai manga.

Give it a read on mangadex.

Half of this series occurs in the bath and the other half in bed.

I'm up to date with the manga but also heard the manga goes way beyond what the LN does in terms of adult content, so if this is an adaption of the light novel more so than the manga, there's a chance it might not meet expectations, though being an anime adaptions in general is enough to not expect much.

From what I heard, this will not be very good unless it has an AT-X uncensored version, although some of these smutty fantasy anime should really be picked up by Comic Festa so they can go all the way much easier.
