'Wave!!: Surfing Yappe!!' Announces Additional Staff, Screening Details

The official website of Wave!! Surfing Yappe!!, the anime adaptation of Love&Art's multimedia project Wave!!, revealed additional staff on Saturday. The first part of the film trilogy is set to premiere on October 2, with the second and third films following in succession on October 16 and 30. The website also revealed a visual for the first chapter (pictured).

Previous announced staff at animation studio Asahi Production include director Takaharu Ozaki (Goblin Slayer) and scriptwriter Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Black Clover). Yomi Sarachi (Lostorage Incited WIXOSS) is credited for the original character designs, with Isawa also in charge of the character designs.

Video game developer MAGES. began the production of the project in 2018. Since then, the project inspired a wide variety of content, such as CDs and radio shows. A smartphone game is also in development, however, a release date has yet to be announced.

A 4-koma manga adaptation by Kisara Akino has been published on the project's official website since last November, with the most recent chapter released on July 2.

I wonder what the idea is behind releasing 3 movies in the same month. Do they really expect people to visit the theatre three separate times in the same month to watch all parts of the trilogy?
