'Shikizakura' Reveals Supporting Cast
The official website for Nagoya-based Chukyo TV Broadcasting and Sublimation's original TV anime Shikizakura revealed three additional cast members on Sunday. All three voice actors—including former SKE48 idol Miki Yakata—belong to TYK Promotion in Nagoya, Japan, continuing the production committee's mission to source local talent and promote the city.
Shikizakura's main cast and staff were announced last November. Shinya Sugai (Walking Meat) will serve as chief director for the project, with Gou Kurosaki (Love Live! Sunshine!! CG director) handling additional directing and Naruki Nakagawa (Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko: Everything Flows script) credited with series composition. The 12-episode sci-fi anime is scheduled to premiere in 2021.
